Generally, the system comprises a laser, optics for delivering the laser beam and a control system for delivering the laser beam to the lens in a particular pattern. There is further provided a range determining system for determining the shape and position of the lens with respect to the laser. There is yet further provided a method and system for delivering a laser beam in the lens of the eye in a predetermined shot pattern.

摘要： A method and system are provided for sensing eye movement, such as saccadic eye movement, in a non-intrusive fashion. An optical delivery arrangement converts a laser beam pulse into a plurality of light spots. The light spots are focused such that they are incident on a corresponding plurality of positions located on a boundary whose movement is coincident with that of eye movement. The boundary can be defined by two visually adjoining surfaces having different coefficients of reflection. Energy is reflected from each of the positions located on the boundary receiving the light spots. An optical receiving arrangement detects the reflected energy from each of the positions. Changes in reflected energy at one or more of the positions is indicative of eye movement.

There is also provided a method and system for determining adjustments to refractive errors in the lens of an eye relating to the treatment of presbyopia. The change to refractive error can be a predicted error or an actual error that has been determined.
