摘要:
The present invention provides a potentiometric titration method for measuring concentration of acid mixture of aluminum etchant, which prepares identified potassium hydroxide-ethanol solution or sodium hydroxide-ethanol solution as a titrant and uses a monohydric alcohol and a diol as an anhydrous medium for the acid mixture of aluminum etchant to carry out titration of the acid mixture of aluminum etchant so as to realize measurement of concentration of each acid contained in the acid mixture of aluminum etchant through a one-stage process of potentiometric titration thereby reducing the complication of operation of inspection and uncertainty of inspection result and achieving the purposes of carrying out inspections with high precision and high performance. The method can efficiently and accurately measure the concentrations of nitric acid, phosphoric acid, and acetic acid contained in the acid mixture of aluminum etchant.

A method for calendaring an activity based on roles, including the steps of acquiring a request for calendaring the activity for a plurality of roles invited to attend the activity; acquiring data on existing activities which have been calendared for all the specific individuals in the plurality of roles invited to attend the activity; and determining the time interval for holding the activity based on the data on existing activities which have been calendared for all the specific individuals in the plurality of roles invited to attend the activity and the request for calendaring the activity.

The invention provides methods for determining the activity of a plurality of nucleic acid regulatory elements. These methods may facilitate, e.g., the systematic reverse engineering, and optimization of mammalian cis-regulatory elements at high resolution and at a large scale. The method may include integration of multiplexed DNA synthesis and sequencing technologies to generate and quantify the transcriptional regulatory activity of e.g., thousands of arbitrary DNA sequences in parallel in cell-based as says (e.g., mammalian cell based assays).

Methods for alleviating the suppression of humoral immunity by myeloid-dependent suppressor cells (MDSCs) are provided which include the administration of a VISTA antagonist and an iNOS/NO inhibitor in a subject in need thereof, e.g., subjects with cancer or infectious disease wherein VISTA is aberrantly expressed. This combination has been discovered to elicit a synergistic or additive effect on alleviating suppression of humoral immunity by VISTA which is elicited by MDSCs.

Disclosed are Dpo4 DNA polymerase mutants with increased DNA synthesis processivity. The mutant enzymes, Dpo4 A181D and Dpo4 E63K, are constructed based on the wild-type Dpo4 derived from Sulfolobus solfataricus to obtain Dpo4DNA polymerase mutants with increased DNA processivity. The extension length of Dpo4 A181D and Dpo4 E63K are respectively increased by 25% and 18.8% than that of the wild-type Dpo4. The fidelity of Dpo4 A181D and wild-type Dpo4 are similar, and the fidelity of Dpo4 E63K is increased from that of the wild-type Dpo4. In summary, the mutants Dpo4 A181D and Dpo4 E63K obtained by the present invention have increased processivity compared to that of the wild-type Dpo4 DNA polymerase.

Aspects of this disclosure describe measuring intervals within a cardiac cycle to, for example, determine whether a patient is a candidate for cardiac therapy initiation or modification. The intervals may be measured in response to a trigger identifying a physiological event. The intervals and an identification of the physiological event may be stored. A physician or clinician may determine whether the patient is a candidate for cardiac therapy modification based on the measured intervals.

A cathode active material of a lithium ion battery includes a number of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 particles and an AlF3 layer coated on a surface of the LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 particles. A method for making the cathode active material is provided. In the method, a number of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 particles are provided. The LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 particles are added to a trivalent aluminum source solution to form a solid-liquid mixture. A fluorine source solution is put into the solid-liquid mixture to react and form an AlF3 layer coated on the surface of the LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 particles. The coated LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 particles are heat treated to form the cathode active material. A lithium ion battery including the cathode active material is also provided.
