摘要:
A color negative inspection apparatus includes at least one color image display device which displays a plurality of color positive images of a single frame of a color negative film for inspection, one of the plurality of color positive images being displayed through simulation for a standardized printing exposure condition of a printing apparatus to which the color negative film is fed upon printing and the remaining through automatic simulation for at least one of color and density corrections stepwise over or under in respect to the one of the plurality of color positive images. If there is no color positive images corrected suitably for printing, the one of the plurality of color images is manually corrected in color and density and thereby the remaining are correspondingly corrected for inspection.

The position of a principal image within a frame is designated manually or in association with the operation of the automatic focussing mechanism. The position information of the principal image is recorded on a photographic film when a subject is photographed. In obtaining a photoprint, the position information is read from the frame to be printed, and the principal image within the frame is identified. A characteristic value used for calculating an exposure amount is derived from the identified principal image, so as to execute an exposure control emphasizing the principal image.

A photographic printing system comprising a printer-processor; a plurality of non-contact IC cards in which various printing conditions, printer-processor operating conditions, and the like are stored; and an IC card read-write unit for reading and writing data on the above-mentioned conditions. The plurality of IC cards are used selectively according to printing purposes and are inserted into the read-write unit. When the selected IC card is inserted into the read-write unit, the read-write unit accesses the data stored in the IC card to set the printer-processor automatically to the printing and operating conditions suitable for the printing purpose. After printing, the read-write unit writes the printing conditions and conditions under which the printer-processor has acutally been operated in the IC card.

Image processing is carried out accurately on image data obtained by a digital camera, and a high-quality reproduced image is obtained. Reading means 21 reads image data S0 and image information obtaining means 22 obtains image information M such as information on presence or absence of a human face and information on frequency regarding an image represented by the image data S0. Scene inference means 23 infers a photography scene based on photography information T attached to the image data S0 and the image information M. Information H on the photography scene is input to image processing means 25 where image processing conditions G in accordance with the scene information H are read from a memory 24. Image processing is carried out on the image data S0 according to the image processing conditions G and processed image data S1 are obtained.

First characteristic values of a reference film is stored in a first characteristic value memory, whereas second characteristic values of each type of recording media of the originals is stored in a second characteristic value memory, to produce a gradation balance conversion table for each color from the first and second characteristic values. Image data of an original is converted according to the gradation balance conversion tables, so as to make the color balance proper in all density ranges from highlight through shadow points, even if the original image is under-exposed or over-exposed. The gradation balance converted image data is converted through an image data conversion device into recording data to record a reproduced image as a hard copy of the original.

A method of making a high-quality print avoids carrying out photometry twice on images on a film. In a first transporting process for transporting the film in a first direction, photometry is carried out on all of the images on the film that are to be copied by dividing the images into a number of pixels, logarithmically transforming thus obtained photometric values into photometric data sets, and storing all thus transformed photometric data sets in correspondence with individual images on the film. At least some of the photometric data sets are used to determine a condition of selection for selecting photometric data of pixels. The photometric data thus selected is used in determining the exposure amount of the images, and photographic prints are made during a second transporting process using the determined exposure amounts.

A photographic printing method in which a plurality of image frames photographed on a negative film by a camera, which photometrically measures different areas on an object by a plurality of photometric elements and which determines an exposure, is printed onto photographic paper. Printing processing is effected at an average exposure of the plurality of image frames. Namely, all of the image frames of the negative film are photometrically measured. Average densities of each of R, G, and B of an entire image surface are calculated. An average value of the average densities of all of the image frames of the negative film is calculated. An amount of printing exposure is determined using this average value. Printing processing of all of the image frames is effected at this amount of printing exposure. Accordingly, a large proportion of prints having appropriate densities can be obtained.

A color photographic printing method of printing a film on the basis of the printing condition of a reference film type, comprises comparing the film characteristic of the reference film type with the film characteristic of the type of a film to be printed and correcting the printing condition of the reference film type on the basis of the result of this comparison. Accordingly, the proper printing condition of each type of film to be printed can be obtained from the printing condition of a single reference film type. A color photographic printing apparatus has a light source section for separating white light into red light, green light and blue light by a combination of a color glass and color separation filters of red, green and blue each provided with a dielectric multilayer film to project the light of each color onto a color film and a light measuring device for measuring red light, green light and blue light transmitted through the color film so that the amount of exposure is controlled on the basis of a predetermined reference printing condition and a measurement value provided by the light measuring device. The color separation filters are each constituted by the dielectric multilayer film and a filter member disposed in close contact with the coating of the dielectric multilayer film, it is possible to prevent variations in the spectral characteristic due to temperature changes.

A method of setting the copying conditions of a color copying machine includes the steps of scanning a test chart having density patterns in three primary colors, to detect three color components of the light reflected from the test chart, based on which three color exposures are obtained. The test chart is scanned again to make a color copy thereof, and the color copy is scanned to detect three color components of the light reflected therefrom, based on which three color densities are obtained. Relationships between the three color exposures and the three color densities are obtained for the three colors. Based on the relationships, three primary color filters are adjusted to regulate three color components of the light passed therethrough, thereby controlling three color exposures.
摘要:
A method and apparatus for classifying color originals into at least color photographs and other colored articles such as color printed articles, letters, handwriting, art graphics or the like by detecting the reflection densities of divisions into which the color original is spatially divided, using light sensors having peak sensitivities at different wavelengths for at least one of the three primary colors. The reflection densities are compared to obtain a difference or a ratio thereof and based on the result of the comparison, the color originals are classified as color photographs or as other colored articles.
