摘要: A display current of a whole gray scale range according to a display signal of four bits is produced from a sum of output currents of an analog current supply circuit producing a first output current according to lower data bits and two digital current supply circuits operating in accordance with corresponding data bits to execute or stop generation of second and third output currents according to higher data bits. The analog current supply circuit has a calibration function of compensating for output current variations due to transistor characteristics at one point in a control range of the first output current. A display device with light-emitting elements can accurately generate a display current for gray-scale expression without imposing an excessive load on a manufacturing process while suppressing circuit footprint.

摘要: Signal lines for supplying signal currents to respective pixel circuits having light emitting elements are arranged. A signal line driving circuit generates, on a signal line, a signal current corresponding to the image data, by switching bit weighting currents output from bit weighting current source circuits provided for respective bits of the image data, using a switch circuit turned on/off dependent on the corresponding bit. Each current source circuit has a function of correcting the level of the bit weighting current output from itself, based on a reference current of the bit weighting current supplied from a reference current line. Therefore, even when the characteristics of TFTs forming respective current source circuits vary widely, variation in signal currents among the signal lines can be suppressed, and unevenness in emission luminance can be suppressed.

The voltage of a node connected to the gate of the drive transistor at this time is held by a voltage holding capacitor. 摘要: In a DC/DC converter, a first operation section calculates a first operation value, based on a difference voltage between an instruction value for a high-voltage-side voltage and a detected value of a high-voltage-side voltage, a second operation section calculates a second operation value, based on a difference voltage between a voltage instruction value for a charge-discharge capacitor and a voltage detected value of the charge-discharge capacitor, and a switching control section obtains a conduction ratio, based on the first operation value and the second operation value, and controls, based on the conduction ratio, switching operations of first to fourth semiconductor circuits, thereby controlling the high-voltage-side voltage, and the voltage of the charge-discharge capacitor.

摘要: In a power converting apparatus which converts AC power into DC power, an inverter circuit including at least one series-connected single-phase inverter is connected in a downstream of a stage in which an AC input is rectified in series therewith. In the downstream stage of the inverter circuit, there are provided a smoothing capacitor connected via a rectifier diode and a short-circuiting switch for bypassing the smoothing capacitor. The short-circuiting switch is set to an ON state only in each of short-circuiting phase ranges of which midpoint matches each of zero-crossing phases and an output of the inverter circuit is controlled by using a current command so that a DC voltage of the smoothing capacitor follows a target voltage and an input power factor is improved.

摘要: A power circuit for a battery for, even when an idle-stop operation is continuously performed, preventing reduction of an electric power supplied to a motor at start-up to obtain a set engine rpm. The power circuit includes a series-connected power supply in which a battery having a load and a capacitor group are connected in series with each other, a DC/DC converter for shifting electric power between the battery and the capacitor group, and between the battery and the load, and a controller for controlling the DC/DC converter. The controller detects the voltage of the capacitor group, and when the voltage detected is lower than a first threshold voltage, controls the DC/DC converter so that the capacitor group is charged with electricity.

摘要: A ballast for a vehicle metal halide lamp is simplified using a DC-AC one-step-boost high frequency ballast system. To satisfy requirements specific to a metal halide lamp, a discharge developing capacitor is installed on a primary side of a transformer in parallel with a DC power supply, ensuring discharge development after a breakdown. To reduce the size and increase the operating voltage of the transformer, a booster circuit and voltage-doubler circuit are installed on the primary side and secondary side of the transformer, respectively. To reduce the size of the transformer and achieve a stable discharge, the ballast frequency is swept within a range between the specified minimum frequency and maximum frequency so that the center frequency is from 80 kHz to 120 kHz, and the same frequency is unsustained for more than 10 msec.
