摘要： The present invention provides a software installing apparatus and a software installing method that facilitate the use of cooperatively operable software by automatically setting the user parameters, even in an environment where the users can connect or disconnect their PCs to the network frequently, and provides a recording medium storing a program for realizing the method. A client object includes an identifier storing part for storing the identifier of a computer on which a server object corresponding to the client object operates. The client object is transmitted to a computer. When the client object starts in the computer, the computer where the corresponding server object starts can be easily identified.

摘要： An apparatus for controlling a shared screen for shared applications, which can be shared, in a network system of a plurality of connected communication terminals, with other communication terminals when running on the terminals. The communication terminals include a window information acquiring portion for acquiring window information of the application to be shared while running on the terminals. Window controlling portion controls how windows are displayed on the communication terminals. The window controlling portion displays a window of shared space for displaying windows of shared applications collectively on the communication terminals. The windows of the shared applications are displayed as sub-windows in the window of shared space. For the “entire screen sharing type”, the apparatus includes a conference managing device having a conference information managing portion for managing information about communication terminals participating in those conferences, and shared screen controlling portion. An unused terminal for providing a shared screen is dynamically selected and provided. With the “application sharing method”, it can be recognized easily, whether a displayed application window is shared or unshared, and with the “entire screen sharing method”, a terminal for providing a shared screen can be selected optimally, so that the system resource can be used efficiently.

摘要： The terminal operation apparatus of the present invention is used for an electronic conference and the like, in which an operated terminal having a shared screen is remotely operated through a network, the amount of information flowing through the network is adjusted, and continuity of an operation between the operated terminal and the operating terminal is kept, whereby operability is enhanced. Timers 72 and 73 or a point information detection counter 74 are used to transmit detailed point information with a decreased thinning ratio to the operated terminal for a predetermined period of time after the point information is inputted. A thinning ratio is set in accordance with a pointer movement speed and priorities (the order of connection, a CPU use ratio, whether or not an operation authority is obtained, etc.) among operators. Furthermore, an operation area of a operated terminal is provided, a pointer is displayed at a relative position on a shared screen, and a pointer is prevented from being unintentionally positioned off an area by setting a particular operation and the like for retreating from the operation area of the operated terminal. An inlet area and an outlet area are provided on a display screen of the operating terminal and a shared screen, respectively, whereby a pointer operation target is automatically switched to ensure continuity of a pointer operation.
