摘要： The present invention provides a software installing apparatus and a software installing method that facilitate the use of cooperatively operable software by automatically setting the user parameters, even in an environment where the users can connect or disconnect their PCs to the network frequently, and provides a recording medium storing a program for realizing the method. A client object includes an identifier storing part for storing the identifier of a computer on which a server object corresponding to the client object operates. The client object is transmitted to a computer. When the client object starts in the computer, the computer where the corresponding server object starts can be easily identified.

The service selecting host is configured to collect data from the plurality of user terminals. The collected data includes information about the users at the user terminals and information about the user terminals activity in the accessing of the IRC services. The service selecting host compiles and sorts the collected data concerning IRC services to produce information provided to the user terminals. The information provided to the user terminals allows users at the user terminals to more easily select sorted IRC services.

The necessity of considering the position on the displayed file can be eliminated and the object is related to the overall portion of the file when the object is displayed. Thus, a larger number of objects are related to the file and displayed in a short time.

摘要： A guidance message display control system for displaying a guidance message on terminal equipment, such as multi-media communication terminals. The system maintains and updates a skill level which corresponds to the length of delay occuring before the display of the guidance message. The system awaits a choice selection by a users. If within a predetermined time delay the user has not input a valid selection, then the guidance message is displayed and the skill level is decreased. On the other hand, if a valid selection is made within the predetermined period, then the skill level is increased. Thus, guidance messages are displayed based upon user skill. That is, the messages appear for the unskilled user, but only appear as needed for the skilled user.
