The invention provides a melt-blown non-woven fabric obtained by melt-blowing an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer having a density of smaller than 0.900 g/cm.sup.3 and a crystallinity of from 5 to 40% or by melt-blowing a resin composition which chiefly comprises said copolymer, a laminated non-woven fabric obtained by laminating as a unitary structure a dry-type non-woven fabric on the melt-blown fabric that is obtained by melt-blowing said copolymer or the resin composition which chiefly comprises said copolymer, and a cataplasm which comprises the non-woven fabric obtained by melt-blowing said copolymer or said resin composition which chiefly comprises said copolymer, a dry-type non-woven fabric laminated on said melt-blown non-woven fabric, and a medicine layer applied onto said dry-type non-woven fabric. The non-woven fabric or the laminated non-woven fabric has excellent elastic property, i.e., excellent elasticity under the two-dimensional condition, and exhibit excellent fitness to the curved portions and to the stretched or contracted portions. The invention further provides a non-woven fabric obtained by melt-blowing a resin composition which contains 98 to 40% by weight of a polypropylene and 2 to 60% by weight of an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer having a density of smaller than 0.900 g/cm.sup.3 and a crystallinity of from 5 to 40%, and a laminated non-woven fabric material using the above non-woven fabric, featuring excellent softness and heat-adhesiveness at low temperatures as well as easy heat-working such as heat-embossing.

A laminated non-woven fabric comprising a laminated material of an intermediate layer of a melt-blown non-woven fabric obtained by melt-blowing an olefin-type resin, an inner and outer layers of a spun-bonded non-woven fabric which chiefly consists of polyester-type fibers and in which the fibers are bonded together locally and at a coarse density, wherein the fibers constituting the inner and outer layers are inserted in the melt-blown non-woven fabric and are intermingled with fibers in the melt-blown non-woven fabric or in the spun-bonded non-woven fabrics of the opposite sides, so that the layers are coupled together as a unitary structure, and a process for producing the same. In the laminated non-woven fabric, the melt-blown non-woven fabric and the spun-bonded non-woven fabrics are fastened and stuck together free of defects to exhibit softness, porosity, water resisting property and like properties possessed by the melt-blown non-woven fabric as well as strength, hand, touch and like properties possessed by the spun-bonded non-woven fabric to their maximum degrees.

A driving apparatus and a driving method are disclosed that are capable of uniformly lighting each entire fluorescent tube irrespective of the length or number of fluorescent tubes when simultaneously driving a plurality of fluorescent tubes in a fluorescent tube lighting apparatus. When two inverter circuits having respective transformers are provided at both ends of a fluorescent tube to light the fluorescent tube by push-pull driving, feedback windings of transformers not used in self-excited oscillation of each inverter circuit are connected together, with the transformer connection that connects together the feedback windings being either in-phase or in opposite phase, and the method of connection for fluorescent tubes connecting to secondary windings of each transformer can be changed in accordance with that connection method.

In order to control light emission of light emitting diodes, current dividing circuits are used to supply currents of a substantially fixed level to all lines. Light emitting diodes are arranged in groups of a predetermined number of LEDs in series, and sets of the light emitting diodes connected to the first line and sets of the light emitting diodes connected to the second line are laid out on the same straight line so as to form a single row. Substrates with these formed thereon are arranged adjacent to each other in the direction of the rows, so that sets of the light emitting diodes connected to the first line and sets of the light emitting diodes connected to the second line are arranged alternately. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a backlight device with a plurality of LED arrays arranged thereon, which can uniformly illuminate the entire screen with light from the LED arrays.

A fluorescent tube is prevented from being wrongly attached and broken when being attached, and luminance nonuniformity of backlight due to luminance difference generated in a tube axis direction of the fluorescent tube is reduced. A backlight device 2 is provided with a plurality of fluorescent tubes 21 having electrodes 211 at both ends; a bundling member 213 for bundling wirings 212 pulled out from the electrode 211 on one side of two or more of the fluorescent tubes 21; and a conducting means 31 for achieving conduction between the electrodes of the two fluorescent tubes among the fluorescent tubes 21 by being connected with the bundling member 213. The conducting means 31 permits a current to be carried between the electrodes of the two fluorescent tubes 21, which are bundled by the one bundling member 213, and the conducting means are arranged on inverter circuit substrate 28, respectively, not to be adjacent to each other.

A skin cleansing composition contains, in addition to water, the following ingredients (A) to (D): (A) a polyoxyethylene alkylether sulfate, (B) an ether carboxylic acid-type surfactant, (C) an alkyl polyglycoside, and (D) one or more of a higher fatty acid and a higher alcohol. A total amount of the ingredients (A), (B) and (C) ranges from to 30 wt % based on the whole composition, with the ingredient (A) amounting to from 20 to 80 wt %, the ingredient (B) amounting to from 7 to 70 wt %, and the ingredient (C) amounting to from 7 to 70 wt %, the amount of the ingredient (D) ranges from 0.3 to 3 wt % based on the whole composition. A pH of the composition ranges from 4.5 to 7 when diluted to 5 wt % by weight with deionized water. The skin cleansing composition can produce abundant foam of fine and smooth quality without an increase in foam viscosity, and therefore, allows the body to be washed with comfort.

Luminance irregularities caused by the weight of the optical members in a backlight apparatus are reduced. A lighting apparatus comprises optical members 1 and 2, a casing in which the optical members 1 and 2 and a lamp 4 are disposed, a first member 1a formed in optical members 1 and 2, and a second member 3a formed in the casing for attaching the optical members 1 and 2 to the casing by cooperating with the first member 1a. The first and second members 1a and 3a are provided in positions such that no upward stress is applied to the optical members due to their own weights at the bottom in a vertical direction in the plane of the display screen, both in a basic position and a first stop position of the lighting apparatus, the latter position being reached by rotation of the apparatus from the basic position in the plane of the display screen.
