    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for an operation for triggering on-demand synchronous signal/physical broadcast channel block (SSB) or a system information block 1 (SIB1) in a wireless communication system. A method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes receiving a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) from a base station (BS) and determining, based on an indication in the first PDSCH, that a set of synchronization signals and physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) blocks is activated for transmission from the BS. The method further includes determining a time domain offset with respect to the first PDSCH, determining that the set of SS/PBCH blocks is to be transmitted after the time domain offset and receiving a SS/PBCH block in the set of SS/PBCH blocks.

    Abstract: A method of a first UE comprises: determining a sidelink synchronization identity (SL-SID) and a set of resources; generating at least one sidelink synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (S-SSB) based on the SL-SID and the set of resources, wherein each S-SSB of the at least one S-SSB includes first two symbols for a sidelink primary synchronization signal (S-PSS) and second two symbols for a sidelink secondary synchronization signal (S-SSS); generating a first sequence corresponding to the S-PSS, wherein the first sequence is determined based on a binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulated M-sequence with a 127 of sequence length and a low cross-correlation with a PSS; generating a second sequence corresponding to the S-SSS, wherein the second sequence is determined based on a BPSK modulated Gold-sequence with a 127 of sequence length; and transmitting, the at least one S-SSB over sidelink channels established with the second UE.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for control signaling for an unlicensed spectrum band. A method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a downlink control information (DCI) format and determining a type of channel access procedure based on a field in the DCI format. The type of channel access procedure is one of: a first type of channel access procedure that includes a random time duration for sensing; a second type of channel access procedure that includes a positive and deterministic time duration for sensing; or a third type of channel access procedure that does not include a time duration for sensing. The method further includes performing a channel access procedure based on the determined type of channel access procedure and transmitting an uplink transmission on a channel with shared spectrum channel access after performing the channel access procedure.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for adapting a channel sensing threshold in a wireless communication system operating with shared spectrum channel access.
