摘要: Provided are meta-surface optical device and methods of manufacturing the same. The meta-surface optical device may include a meta-surface arranged on a region of a substrate and a light control member arranged around the meta-surface. The light control member may be arranged on or below the substrate. A material layer formed of the same material used to form the meta-surface may be disposed between the light control member and the substrate. Also, the meta-surface may be a first meta-surface arranged on an upper surface of the substrate, and a second meta-surface may be arranged on a bottom surface of the substrate. Also, the meta-surface may include a first meta-surface and at least one second meta-surface may formed on the first meta-surface, and the light control member may be arranged around the at least one second meta-surface.

摘要: A meta projector includes an edge emitting device configured to emit light through a side surface thereof, a meta-structure layer spaced apart from the upper surface of the edge emitting device that includes a plurality of nanostructures having a sub-wavelength shape dimension smaller than a wavelength of the light emitted from the edge emitting device, and a path changing member configured to change a path of the light emitted from the edge emitting device so as to direct the path toward the meta-structure layer. The meta projector may thus be configured to emit a light pattern of structured light, based on directing the light emitted from the edge emitting device through the meta-structure layer, while having a relatively compact device size.

The nanostructured optical element includes: a light source in which a plurality of laser sources irradiating light are configured as an array; a meta-pattern layer including a plurality of first nano-posts that are two-dimensionally configured while satisfying a sub-wavelength condition, wherein the plurality of first nano-posts are configured to change the light from the light source into structured light; and a deflecting layer between the light source and the meta-pattern layer, and configured to change a proceeding direction of the light to make the light from the light source be incident to the meta-pattern layer.

摘要: Provided are a structured light projector that generates and projects structured light, and an electronic apparatus including the structured light projector. The structured light projector includes an illuminator configured to emit light, a pattern mask configured to form structured light by partially transmitting and partially blocking incident light from the illuminator based on a pattern of the pattern mask, and a lens configured to project the structured light. The illuminator includes a plurality of illumination areas respectively facing a plurality of areas of the pattern mask, wherein intensities of lights respectively emitted by the plurality of illumination areas are different from one other.

摘要: A method of measuring a distance by using a 3-dimensional (3D) depth sensor is provided. The method may include: measuring m number of frames using light modulated at a first frequency to determine a first tentative distance from a viewpoint to an object at the first frequency, m being a positive integer; measuring n number of frames using light modulated at a second frequency to determine a second tentative distance from the viewpoint to the object at the second frequency, n being a positive integer, a sum of m and n being four; and determining a resulting distance to the object based on the first distance and the second distance.

摘要: An illumination device includes a display panel including a first surface on which an image is displayed, a second surface opposite to the first surface, display pixels interposed between the first surface and the second surface, and a transmitting window interposed between the first surface and the second surface. 摘要: Provided are meta illuminators. The meta illuminators according to embodiments include a first light emitter configured to emit pattern light, and a second light emitter configured to emit non-patterned light, wherein the first and second light emitters forms a single body. The first and second light emitters respectively include meta-surfaces that are different from each other, and the different meta-surfaces may be formed on a single material layer. The first light emitter includes a pattern region that transmits a portion of incident light, and the second light emitter does not include the pattern region. A mask may be arranged between the light source and the transparent substrate.
