Abstract: Provided is an electronic device of a vehicle including a mobile communication module configured to transmit and/or receive data through a base station according to a first communication method based on a first frequency band, or a second communication method based on a second frequency band, and a control module configured to control an operation of the mobile communication module, wherein the control module is further configured to: determine whether there is a possibility of communication interruption with respect to the first communication method while data is being transmitted and received according to the first communication method through the mobile communication module, and, based on determining that there is the possibility of communication interruption, switch from the first communication method to the second communication method, and transmit and/or receive data, wherein the first frequency band is higher than the second frequency band.

Abstract: A vehicle antenna apparatus installed in a vehicle is provided. The vehicle antenna apparatus includes an array antenna including a plurality of antenna elements, and a processor configured to perform at least one instruction. The processor is configured to obtain, based on a sensing result of a sensor for sensing a position of a user riding in the vehicle, information about the position of the user, adjust, based on the information about the position of the user, a phase of at least one radio wave signal such that a position of a radiation pattern formed by the at least one radio wave signal output from the plurality of antenna elements and the position of the user riding in the vehicle vary from each other, and control the array antenna to output the at least one phase-adjusted radio wave signal.

Abstract: An electronic device and operation method thereof for controlling a black box mounted in a vehicle are provided. The electronic device includes determining an operating mode of the black box to be a sleep mode in a state that an engine of the vehicle is turned off, transmitting, by using an ultra-wideband (UWB) communication module, a UWB signal to an object located in a vicinity of the vehicle and receiving a UWB signal from the object, identifying, based on the received UWB signal, whether the object is a device of a driver of the vehicle, and determining, based on a result of the identifying, whether to switch the operating mode of the black box from the sleep mode to an activation mode.
