Abstract: Provided are an image processing device and an image processing method. The image processing device comprises: a display; and a processor for determining an edge area within an input image and a peripheral area of the edge area, and determining a pixel value of the edge area on the basis of pixel characteristics of a plurality of pixels included in the peripheral area, thereby providing an image, in which the edge area is compensated on the basis of the determined pixel value, to the display.

Abstract: A glassless three-dimensional (3D) display apparatus includes a storage configured to store information on a possible depth range providable by the glassless 3D display apparatus and information on a reference output depth range; a display configured to provide a plurality of image views having different viewpoints to a user; and a processor configured to render the plurality of image views having the different viewpoints based on a depth of an input image, to provide a multi-view image, wherein the processor is configured to adjust, based on the depth of the input image, at least one of a minimum value and a maximum value of the reference output depth range, within the possible depth range, to determine an output depth range corresponding to the input image, and render the plurality of image views based on the determined output depth range.

Abstract: A multi-view image display apparatus including: an image receiver; a display including: a display panel; and a visual field divider disposed in front of a viewing surface of the display panel and configured to provide different viewpoints at which an image is viewed in a viewing zone; and a processor configured to: render a plurality of views of the image having different viewpoints based on a depth of the image, generate a multi-view image, and control the display panel to display the multi-view image. The processor is further configured to map a mixture pixel value to a target area of the multi-view image, the mixture pixel value being generated based on pixel values of a first viewpoint and a second viewpoint, and the target area being calculated based on a difference between an output pixel area of the display panel and a corresponding visible pixel area in the viewing zone.

Abstract: An electronic device providing image data processing and an image data processing method are provided. The electronic device comprises: a display; a reception unit for receiving an input image; and a processor which determines image characteristics of the input image, overlaps a pixel of the input image and a pixel of the display, creates a plurality of resampled images by changing the phase of the pixel of the input image on the basis of the characteristics of the display pixel, performs filtering on each of the plurality of resampled images on the basis of the characteristics of the image, and renders a corrected image on the display by creating the corrected image on the basis of the plurality of resampled images.
