Abstract:
Disclosed are a display apparatus and a control method thereof, the display apparatus including: a camera configured to include an image sensor for sensing an image passed through a lens, be mounted to movable up/down on a top of the display apparatus, and be moved up and ejected outward from the display apparatus while being used; an image processor configured to process an image signal corresponding to an image sensed by the image sensor; a display configured to display an image based on the processed image signal; a detector configured to detect whether the camera moves up or down; a power supply configured to supply power to elements of the display apparatus; and a controller configured to control the power supply to turn on the display apparatus if the detector detects that the camera is ejected while the display apparatus is being powered off, and control the image processor to display a preview image corresponding to an image taken by the camera on the display. Thus, the display apparatus can be easily turned on/off by pushing the camera, and be improved in utilization, thereby increasing accessibility to the utilization of the camera and improving convenience of a user.
Abstract:
A display apparatus, a stand, and a driving method of the display apparatus are provided. The display apparatus includes a display configured to display an image, a stand configured to support the display, a stand driver configured to control a position of the stand according to a user input, a detector configured to detect an operation state of the stand driver, and a controller configured to generate an alarm signal indicating an abnormal operation state of the stand driver in response to the operation state detected by the detector indicating the abnormal operation state.
Abstract:
Provided is a light-emitting diode (LED) driving system. The LED driving system includes an LED current controller, a detector, and a system controller. The LED current controller is configured to control a current flowing through a plurality of LED arrays including at least one LED, such that no current flows through a first LED array from among the plurality of the LED arrays and a current flows through a second LED array from among the plurality of the LED arrays. The detector is configured to detect a sensing voltage from the first LED array. The system controller is configured to determine, based on a comparison result between the sensing voltage and a reference voltage, a failure of the at least one LED included in the second LED array.
Abstract:
A display apparatus with a radio frequency (RF) sensor and a user detection method using an RF sensor are provided. The display apparatus includes: a display panel configured to display an image; a support frame located in a back area of the display panel and configured to support parts of the display apparatus; and a radio frequency (RF) sensor configured to be arranged in the support frame for performing one of transmitting a radio frequency signal to a front area of the display panel and receiving the radio signal from the front area of the display panel, wherein the radio frequency signal which is transmitted or received passes through the display panel.
Abstract:
A multi-view device includes a lens unit which operates to selectively transmit or block light; a communication unit which communicates with a display apparatus which is displaying an image; and a controller which receives, from the display apparatus via the communication unit, a beacon signal which synchronizes with a display period of the displayed image, controls an operation of the lens unit based on the beacon signal, and changes, via the communication unit, a reception frequency of the beacon signal based on information relating to a wireless communication environment level between the display apparatus and the multi-view device which is extracted from the beacon signal.
