摘要: A device and method for controlling a power supply. The method includes: monitoring a feedback signal of a feedback terminal; determining whether the feedback signal of the feedback terminal is not a pulse signal; and terminating an on/off operation of a switching element when the feedback signal of the feedback terminal is not a pulse signal. Therefore, an abnormal status of the device can be correctly detected with a simple structure when the feedback terminal is open or is shorted with other terminals, while an error operation and a damage of the device can be avoided.

摘要: A detector compares a drain voltage with a first threshold voltage and outputs a first detection signal. An ON counter detects a period of time during which a current flows in a switching, counts the period of time based on a predetermined clock cycle. An OFF counter detects a period of time during which a current flow through the body diode in a state where no current flows in the switching circuit, counts the period of time. An off-time setting circuit sets the time to turn off the switching circuit. A first comparison circuit compares the cycle count value with turn off time. A second comparison circuit compares a cycle count value output by the ON counter with a comparison result output by the first comparison circuit and outputs a signal to stop transmitting a PWM signal.

摘要: A transformer comprises a primary winding to which a DC voltage is applied and a secondary winding. A switching circuit is connected to the primary winding. A rectifying-smoothening circuit rectifies and smoothens a pulse voltage generated at the secondary winding, by switching the switching element. An output unit outputs an output voltage obtained by the rectifying-smoothening circuit to a load. An error amplifier outputs an error voltage between the output voltage and a reference voltage to a primary side as a feedback signal. an oscillator lowers a switching frequency of the switching element in accordance with the feedback signal during a light load state. A frequency correction circuit corrects the switching frequency by the oscillator by changing a frequency correction rate in accordance with a value of the feedback signal along an approximate line along which the transformer is not saturated.

摘要: A switching power-supply device includes a COMP-voltage comparator circuit that compares a COMP-voltage obtained by performing phase compensation on the feedback signal, with a first threshold voltage which is a threshold value; and an intermittent-oscillation control circuit that, if it is detected by the COMP-voltage comparator circuit that the COMP-voltage is lower than the first threshold voltage, stops the switching operation of the switching device and performs a transition to a first intermittent oscillation operation in which the switching device performs the switching operation every predetermined first period, wherein if a predetermined delay period elapses in a state where the COMP-voltage is lower than the first threshold voltage, the intermittent-oscillation control circuit performs a transition to a second intermittent oscillation operation in which the switching device performs the switching operation every second period which is an integral multiple of the first period.

摘要: Disclosed is a switching power-supply device that induces a pulse voltage in a secondary winding of the transformer, and outputs, to a load, an output voltage rectified and smoothened by a secondary-side rectification smoothing circuit including a rectifier diode and a smoothing capacitor. An input-voltage detection circuit detects the input voltage of the alternating-current power supply. An error amplifier compares the output voltage with a reference voltage, and transmits a resultant error voltage to a primary side as a feedback signal. An internal oscillation circuit selects any of frequency decrease settings according to the input voltage detected by the input-voltage detection circuit, and performs, by using the selected frequency decrease setting, a frequency decreasing function of decreasing a switching frequency of the switching element at a light load, in response to the feedback signal transmitted from a secondary side to inform a state of the load.
