    摘要: An NMR well logging tool is provided that includes a sensor and associated electronic circuitry. The sensor includes an array of RF antenna elements. The electronic circuitry includes at least one low-power integrated circuit and a plurality of high-power modules corresponding the RF antenna elements of the array. Each high-power module is coupled to a corresponding RF antenna element of the array and includes an RF amplifier that is configured to amplify RF pulses generated by the at least one low-power integrated circuit and supplied thereto for transmission by the corresponding antenna element. In embodiments, the RF amplifier of each high-power module can include an H-bridge circuit or other suitable RF amplifier.

    摘要: Methods and systems are provided for optimizing well-logging using an optimized wait time determined by analysis nuclear magnetic resonance data to achieve faster and better quality borehole evaluation. The method comprises performing a nuclear magnetic resonance pre-log testing; identifying a wait time for a portion of a signal from the pre-log testing with a long T1 and T2, value at each depth of the pre-log testing, wherein T1 is defined as a longitudinal relaxation time and T2 is a transverse relaxation time ascertained from the nuclear magnetic resonance prelog testing; and constructing a logging program with a logging program wait time being consistent with the wait time identified.

    摘要: A method and system for determining a property of a substance using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is described herein. The method includes applying a NMR pulse sequence to the substance. The NMR pulse sequence includes a first set of pulses and a second set of pulses. The first set of pulses and the second set of pulses encode for overlapping diffusion times. By overlapping diffusion times, the NMR pulse sequence can be used to measure a diffusion coefficient for a first diffusion time, a diffusion coefficient for a second diffusion time, and a correlation between the two overlapping diffusion times. This information, in turn, can be used to differentiate between intrinsic bulk diffusivity of the substance and the reduced diffusivity of the substance caused by restricted diffusion.

    摘要: A method (and corresponding system) that characterizes a porous rock sample is provided, which involves subjecting the porous rock sample to an applied experimental pressure where a first fluid that saturates the porous rock sample is displaced by a second fluid, and subsequently applying an NMR pulse sequence to the rock sample, detecting resulting NMR signals, and generating and storing NMR data representative of the detected NMR signals. The application of experimental pressure and NMR measurements can be repeated over varying applied experimental pressure to obtain NMR data associated with varying applied experimental pressure values. The NMR data can be processed using inversion to obtain a probability distribution function of capillary pressure values as a function of NMR property values. The probability distribution function of capillary pressure values as a function of NMR property values can be processed to determine at least one parameter indicative of the porous rock sample.

    摘要: An apparatus for measuring nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) properties of subsurface formations includes a magnet for pre-polarizing nuclear spins in the formations. A plurality of transmitter antennas is spaced apart along a length of the apparatus. The apparatus includes at least one of a receiver circuit selectively coupled to at least one of the plurality of transmitter antennas and a separate receiver antenna. The apparatus includes circuitry for applying radio frequency current pulses selectively to each of the plurality of transmitter antennas such that during a NMR measurement sequence while the apparatus is moving substantially only those of the plurality of transmitter antennas having radio frequency current pulses applied thereto are disposed longitudinally along a same region of interest in the subsurface formations.
