摘要: A printing device has a support and heating unit, a head for discharging color image ink and background image ink on a medium supported by the support and heating unit, and a controller. The controller is configured to perform one of a color image printing process for discharging the color image ink and printing a color image on the medium, and a background image printing process for discharging the background image ink and printing a background image that is a background of the color image on the medium, and to perform the other one of the processes subsequent to the one of the process. The controller is further configured to execute a wait process of evacuating the head to an evacuation position from above the support and heating unit to have the head wait at the evacuation position between the color image printing process and the background image printing process.

摘要: A liquid ejecting device includes: a head having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting droplets onto a printing medium; a movement unit configured to move the head relative to the printing medium in a relative movement direction; and a control unit configured to record a test pattern on the printing medium by controlling the head and the movement unit, and to perform recording by correcting control of the head and/or the movement unit based on a correction value obtained from the test pattern, wherein the test pattern includes a plurality of patches from which a plurality of candidates for the correction value for correcting a landing position at which the droplet lands on the printing medium in the relative movement direction are obtained.

摘要: A recording device includes, when a transporting direction of a medium is set to a first axis and a direction intersecting with the transporting direction is set to a second axis, a head which includes a nozzle column along the first axis; a pair of heads in which the heads discharging droplets of the same color are paired; and a head unit which includes a plurality of pairs of heads along the second axis. The pair of heads include a predetermined overlapping portion in which the nozzle columns are overlapped with each other in a side view from the second axis, the overlapping portion includes a plurality of nozzle regions divided along the second axis, and a position of the nozzle region which is used in discharge of the droplets is different from a position of the nozzle region of another pair of heads.

摘要: There is provided a recording apparatus in which it is possible to use a suitable reaction liquid to be applied on the recording medium, out of multiple types of reaction liquids. A recording apparatus includes a transport mechanism that transports a recording medium, a reaction liquid applying mechanism that selectively applies, on the recording medium, either a first reaction liquid that reacts with ink or a second reaction liquid that reacts with the ink and is different from the first reaction liquid, and an ink discharge mechanism that is positioned downstream from the reaction liquid applying mechanism in the transport direction of the recording medium and discharges the ink onto the recording medium. It is preferable that the reaction liquid applying mechanism include a first reaction liquid discharge unit that discharges the first reaction liquid and a second reaction liquid discharge unit that discharges the second reaction liquid.
