摘要: A liquid discharging apparatus includes a transporting endless belt, a discharging head and a cleaning mechanism. The transporting endless belt has an adhesive support surface, and configured and arranged to intermittently transport a medium by supporting the medium on the adhesive support surface. The discharging head is configured and arranged to discharge a liquid onto the medium supported by the transporting endless belt. The cleaning mechanism has a cleaning roller configured and arranged to clean the transporting endless belt by coming into contact with the transporting endless belt. When a total length of the transporting endless belt is L1, an intermittent transport distance of the transporting endless belt is L2, and a contact length of the cleaning roller with the transporting endless belt in a transport direction is L3, L3 is longer than L2, and L1 is a non-integer multiple of L2.

摘要: A recording device includes, when a transporting direction of a medium is set to a first axis and a direction intersecting with the transporting direction is set to a second axis, a head which includes a nozzle column along the first axis; a pair of heads in which the heads discharging droplets of the same color are paired; and a head unit which includes a plurality of pairs of heads along the second axis. The pair of heads include a predetermined overlapping portion in which the nozzle columns are overlapped with each other in a side view from the second axis, the overlapping portion includes a plurality of nozzle regions divided along the second axis, and a position of the nozzle region which is used in discharge of the droplets is different from a position of the nozzle region of another pair of heads.

The cleaning mechanism has a cleaning liquid tank which is configured to have a cleaning liquid, a contact section which is configured to come into contact with the adhesive belt to apply the cleaning liquid and clean off ink which is attached to the adhesive belt, and an anti-foaming agent supply section which is configured to supply an anti-foaming agent for ink to the adhesive belt directly or via another member, and the anti-foaming agent remains on the adhesive belt.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes: a transport unit that has a fixing unit which holds a part of an elongated recording medium and that transports the recording medium to each fixing unit; a recording unit that discharges ink onto the recording medium and performs recording; and a cockle removing mechanism that removes a cockle on the recording medium when the recording medium is sent toward the fixing unit side. The cockle removing mechanism has a first holding unit that holds one end portion of the recording medium in a lateral direction and a second holding unit that holds the other end portion of the recording medium in the lateral direction. The first holding unit and the second holding unit are configured to apply stress to the recording medium in a separating direction from each other.

摘要: A recording apparatus includes a transport mechanism and a plurality of cleaning sections. The transport mechanism has an adhesive belt configured and arranged to support a target recording medium thereon to intermittently transport the target recording medium. The cleaning sections are arranged from an upstream side to a downstream side along the adhesive belt in a moving direction to clean the adhesive belt. A distance between the cleaning sections is different to a transport distance which results from one cycle of intermittent transporting of the target recording medium and is also different to a cumulative transport distance which results from a plurality of times of intermittent transporting of the target recording medium.
