    Abstract: A non-aqueous ink jet ink composition is provided that can form an image having excellent weather resistance, abrasion resistance, and coloring property. The non-aqueous ink jet ink composition includes a cyclic ester compound, at least one first solvent represented by the following General Formula (1) and having a flash point of 140° C. or lower: R1O—(R2O)m—R3, a second solvent represented by the General Formula (1), and C.I. Pigment Orange-43 (PO-43) as a pigment. In the at least one first solvent represented by General Formula (1), R1 and R3 each independently represent hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, R2 represents an alkylene group having 2 or 3 carbon atoms, and m represents an integer of 2 to 6. The second solvent represented by General Formula (1) includes a glycol monoether compound in which at least one of R1 and R3 is hydrogen. A volume average particle diameter of the PO-43 is 100 nm or more and 400 nm or less.

    Abstract: Provided is an aqueous maintenance liquid for use in maintenance of an ink jet recording apparatus ejecting an ink composition. The ink composition is an aqueous ink composition containing a coloring material. The maintenance liquid contains an organic amine and an organic solvent other than the organic amine. The organic solvent contains Polyol A with a normal boiling point of 250° C. or lower. The content of Polyol A is greater than 20.0% by mass with respect to the total amount of the maintenance liquid. The content of the organic amine is 0.3% by mass or more with respect to the total amount of the maintenance liquid. The total content of the organic solvent is less than 30.0% by mass with respect to the total amount of the maintenance liquid. The organic solvent does not contain Polyol B with a normal boiling point of higher than 250° C. in an amount of greater than 1.0% by mass with respect to the total amount of the maintenance liquid.

    Abstract: Disclosed is ink composition used in a recording apparatus provided with a pressure regulation valve which performs opening and closing operations to adjust a pressure in a recording head and is covered with an elastic member. The ink composition includes a slip agent and a lactone system medium.
