Abstract:
A recording apparatus which includes a transport belt which transports a medium; a pressing roller which presses the medium to the transport belt; and a support unit which can support the transport belt, in which at least a part of a portion of the support unit, which faces the pressing roller through the transport belt is subjected to friction relief processing. By setting to a recording apparatus with such a configuration, it is possible to suppress an increase in friction force between the transport belt and the support unit which can support the transport belt.
Abstract:
Provided is a printing apparatus that includes a printing unit, a conveyance belt that is stretched over a first roller and a second roller such that a tension is applied to the conveyance belt, and a control unit configured to perform on the conveyance belt a forward rotation operation configured to convey a medium in a conveyance direction and a reverse rotation operation configured to convey the medium in a reverse conveyance direction. When the reverse rotation operation has been performed during a print pause period and the tension at the end of the print pause period has changed from the tension when printing of a first image is complete due to the reverse rotation operation performed during the print pause period, the control unit corrects a rotation amount of the conveyance belt in a first rotation direction during printing of a second image.
Abstract:
A transport device includes a transport belt, an abutting unit, a moving mechanism, and a displacement detection unit. The transport belt has an adhesive layer capable of adhering to a medium, and is capable of transporting the medium adhering to the adhesive layer. The abutting unit is capable of abutting against a surface of the adhesive layer. It is assumed that a direction in which the abutting unit is away from the adhesive layer is a first direction and a direction opposite thereto is a second direction. The moving mechanism is capable of moving a position of the abutting unit with respect to the surface in the first direction and the second direction. The displacement detection unit detects a displacement amount of the transport belt in the first direction when the moving mechanism moves the abutting unit in the first direction while the abutting unit abuts against the surface.
Abstract:
There is provided a medium conveying device which includes a conveyance belt passed around a first roller and a second roller and configured to support and convey a medium on a supporting surface, and in which a controlling unit is able to execute first control to determine whether a first skewing direction and a second skewing direction are the same, the first skewing direction indicating whether, when the first roller and the second roller are caused to rotate in the first rotational direction, the conveyance belt moves toward one side or the other side in a width direction intersecting a moving direction of the conveyance belt, and the second skewing direction indicating whether, when the first roller and the second roller are caused to rotate in the second rotational direction, the conveyance belt moves toward the one side or the other side in the width direction.
Abstract:
A printing apparatus includes a mark sensor, a moving section, a web edge sensor, and a printer control section. The moving section can move the mark sensor in a direction intersecting a transport direction of a sheet, or in a width direction. The web edge sensor can detect a location of an edge of the sheet. The printer control section controls the moving section to compensate for a location of the mark sensor, on the basis of a detection result from the web edge sensor which indicates the location of the edge of the sheet.
