Abstract:
A connector is provided, which is configured for being connected to a similar connector. The connector has a global cylindrical shape around a longitudinal axis and includes a connection zone having comprising at least one electrical contact. A housing extends at least partly around the connection zone and has at least two projecting members. A cylindrical locking nut surrounds the housing and is at least partly movable relative to the housing. The housing and the locking nut are configured for respectively cooperating with corresponding locking nut and housing of the similar connector.
Abstract:
A coupling device is provided for a sensor unit having at least one sensor located within a housing. The coupling device includes at least one supporting portion, wherein the supporting portion is configured for maintaining the sensor unit in a stable position, with the coupling device either resting on or being buried into the ground, and at least one rod, arranged in a plane which is essentially perpendicular to a peripheral surface of the supporting portion and linked to the supporting portion. The coupling device further includes a fastener for connecting the sensor unit to the coupling device. The supporting portion maintains the sensor unit in a stable position when resting on the ground, while the rod provides an additional stiffness to the housing.
Abstract:
A method for harvesting seismic data and generating seismic output files from the seismic data and corresponding source data. The method includes: positioning, in a survey area, data acquisition units associated with sensors; performing at least one seismic event using at least one seismic source; acquiring seismic data in the data acquisition units, the seismic data resulting from the at least one seismic event; deploying at least two data harvester units at fixed positions in the survey area. Each data harvester unit: harvests the seismic data; receives source data relating to the seismic event; generates a partial seismic output file from the harvested seismic data and the received source data; transmits the partial seismic output file to a central unit. The method also comprises generating, by the central unit, a final seismic output file from the partial seismic output files transmitted by the at least two data harvester units.
Abstract:
A stress-relief device is provided, which is configured for being mounted on a geophysical equipment or node connected to at least two cables. The device includes a case configured for surrounding the geophysical equipment or node and for making at least an opening for enabling a connection between each of the at least two cables and the geophysical equipment or node. The device also includes a housing for housing a portion of each of the two cables, the housing being configured for substantially preventing any movement of said portions of the two cables.

Abstract:
A system and method for detecting marine mammals and mitigating sound effects on them. The mammal detecting and mitigating system includes a first mammal monitoring system and a second mammal monitoring system. The first and second mammal monitoring systems are configured to be deployed away from each other, and the first and second monitoring systems communicate to each other such that the first mammal monitoring system is informed about a presence of a marine mammal detected by the second mammal monitoring system.
