Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method for compression casting concrete to reduce the amount of cement, including: adopting any existing concrete mix proportion designed for concrete of given strength, mixing the concrete, pouring the concrete into a mould, and compressing the concrete at a given pressure, where 28-day strength of the compacted concrete is increased; gradually reducing the amount of cement while keeping the amounts of other materials unchanged, where 28-day strength of the concrete is gradually reduced until the concrete meets a design index; proportionally reducing amounts of water and cement in a last mix proportion while keeping the amounts of other materials unchanged, where during compression casting of the concrete, discharge of cement paste is gradually reduced until no cement paste is discharged; and compression casting a concrete member according to a final mix proportion.

Abstract: A method for determining an optimal fiber content and fiber slenderness ratio in compression-cast fiber-reinforced concrete (CCFRC). The method includes: step 1, determining an optimal range of pressure of CCFRC with a mix proportion; step 2, applying optimal compressive stress to a fiber-reinforced concrete mixture, and performing a uniaxial compression test after demolding and curing; step 3, keeping the slenderness ratio of the fiber in step 1 and the optimal compressive stress in step 2 unchanged, decreasing or increasing content of the fiber, and repeating step 2 to obtain a mechanical property of CCFRC with different content of the fiber; and step 4, keeping the content of the fiber in step 1 and the optimal compressive stress in step 2 unchanged, decreasing or increasing a slenderness ratio of the fiber, and repeating step 2 to obtain a mechanical property of CCFRC with a different slenderness ratio of the fiber.

Abstract: Disclosed is a concrete product incorporating rubber aggregate produced by casting under pressure. The concrete product may optionally be cast at 6.9-27.7 MPa for periods of, for example, 24 hours. In one embodiment the rubber aggregate may comprise coarse and/or fine rubber aggregate to replace natural sources of coarse and fine aggregate. Casting under pressure was found to generally improve the performance characteristics of the concrete when compared to corresponding concrete cast without pressure.
