Abstract: A drive control apparatus for an opening-and-closing body includes an opening-and-closing body; a first driver which drives the opening-and-closing body in a closing direction; a second driver which draws in the opening-and-closing body from a half-latched position to a fully-latched position; a fully-latched detector which detects that the opening-and-closing body has reached the fully-latched position; a stop detector which detects whether a predetermined stopping condition has been satisfied for stopping a driving of the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction; and a drive controller configured to drive the opening-and-closing body via the first driver in the closing direction, when the fully-latched detector detects that the opening-and-closing body has reached the fully-latched position, after the detection of a fully-latched state until the stop detector detects that a predetermined stopping condition is satisfied.

Abstract: An opening-and-closing body configured to open and close an opening moves across a first section in which the opening-and-closing body moves in the closing direction against its own weight and a second section in which the opening-and-closing body moves in the closing direction according to its own weight. The driver drives the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction continuously from the first section to the second section. The predictor predicts that the drive section of the opening-and-closing body will shift from the first section to the second section when the driver drives the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction toward the second section from the first section. The drive controller decreases the driving output of the driver for driving the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction according to the result of the prediction made by the predictor.
