Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a remote control apparatus, a remote control method, a remote control system, and a program that are capable of achieving remote control by an intuitive motion using only a hand and an eye.A plurality of imaging units capture images of a space in which an eye and a hand of a user and an operation target device are present. Positions of the eye and the hand of the user and the operation target device are specified on the basis of the captured images. A line of sight of the user is specified on the basis of a positional relationship between the eye of the user and the operation target device. A motion of the user that is made while the hand is located on a straight line being the line of sight is assumed as an operation instruction given to the operation target device. The operation instruction is transmitted to the operation target device to cause the operation target device to operate. The present disclosure can be applied to a remote control apparatus.

Abstract: A mobile terminal device includes a display section having a display screen, an input section having a touch input region on the display screen, and a control section for displaying a plurality of keys. The display screen is provided as a software keyboard where a touch operation on a specific key causes an input of the specific key. In the specific display region on the display screen that can display operation keys on the software keyboard, the control section selects these keys from a previously prepared set of input candidate key groups. In response to a specific operation on the specific display region, the control section allows the plurality of keys to be displayed on the specific display region. In response to touch on a desired key in the specific display region, the control section determines that an input of the key has been performed.

Abstract: Image processing device and method for processing images captured at different times. The method may comprise determining a location of a first area in a first image, determining in a second image captured at a different time than the first image, a location of a second area, wherein the first area and the second area include a same object, and determining a new background area in the second image based on the location of the first area and the location of the second area, wherein the new background area includes a portion of the second image included in the first area but not included in the second area.
