    Abstract: An optical scanning device includes a light source and a MEMS optical deflector mounted on the same substrate, at least one optical path generation mirror configured to generate an optical path which causes a light beam emitted from the light source to enter the MEMS optical deflector, and a lens arranged between the light source and the first optical path generation mirror. A shielding plate has an elliptical aperture and is attached to the optical path generation mirror. The light beam from the lens has a peripheral edge on a cross section thereof, which is cut by the elliptical aperture.

    Abstract: An optical scanning device includes a standing plate part which has an inclined groove and a through hole at positions above a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) and a micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) optical deflector, and which is fixed to a substrate. A plate-shaped mirror and a rotary mirror have one end portions thereof in the Y-axis direction supported by the inclined groove and the through hole, respectively. The through hole has the shape of a rotating body having an axis in the Y-axis direction as the centerline thereof.

    Abstract: An optical scanning device includes a VCSEL and an emission unit mounted on the same substrate, and a bottom plate portion arranged on the lower side of the substrate. A columnar protruding portion has a tapered shape and is plastically deformable, and is fixed to the bottom plate portion. The columnar protruding portion has a distal end side inserted into a through hole portion of the substrate. At least one of an upper portion of the columnar protruding portion and the through hole portion is plastically deformed so that they are fitted to each other. A relative inclination angle between the substrate and the bottom plate portion is defined by a fitting angle between the through hole portion and the columnar protruding portion.

    Abstract: A light deflector 1 includes a reflector (2), inner piezoelectric actuators (4), an inner frame (5), outer piezoelectric actuators (6), and an outer frame (7). The reflector (2) is oscillated about a first axis Ua and a second axis Ub by the inner piezoelectric actuators (4) and the outer piezoelectric actuators (6), respectively. Formed on the rear surface of the light deflector 1 is a projecting rib (52), which projects from an encircling rib (51) of the inner frame (5) and reaches a corner portion (36) of a distal end portion of a piezoelectric cantilever (13a). A vertical side (22b) has an outer recess (35). The outer recess (35) extends along the projecting rib (52) in a portion of the distal end side of the piezoelectric cantilever (13a).
