    Abstract: Provided is a pneumatic tire in which a sealant layer entirely exhibits sufficient sealing performance. The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire including a sealant layer located radially inside an innerliner, the sealant layer being formed by continuously and spirally applying a generally string-shaped sealant to the inner periphery of a tire in the tire width direction from one side to the other, the attachment start portion of the sealant being located tire-widthwise inward from the tire-widthwise end of the sealant layer.

    Abstract: A pneumatic tire includes a side wall having a side surface and a roughened region formed on the side surface such that the roughened region is extending in circumferential direction. The roughened region includes lands and dimples formed between adjacent lands, the lands include first lands and second lands formed such that the first and second lands are alternately arrayed in the circumferential direction and the first and second lands are inclined relative to radial direction in opposite inclination directions, and the roughened region is formed such that when the tire is mounted on a normal rim and filled with air at normal inflation pressure, the roughened region has an outer periphery formed on radially inner side of position 30 mm away in radially inward direction from tire maximum-width position, and the roughened region has an inner periphery formed on radially outer side of radially outer edge of the rim.

    Abstract: A pneumatic tire is provided with a noise damper made of a sponge material attached to a radially inner surface of the tread portion. The noise damper has protruding portions protruding from a radially inner surface of a band-shaped base portion. The protruding portions extend from one edge to the other edge of the base portion in the widthwise direction, and arranged at intervals in the tire circumferential direction. In a cross section of the tire parallel with the tire equatorial plane, the radially inner surface of each of the protruding portions includes a flat portion, and the radially inner surface of the base portion includes an arc portion parallel with the inner surface of the tread portion.

    Abstract: The pneumatic tire 1 for a motorcycle comprises a tread portion 2 comprising a belt layer 7, an inner liner layer 9 made of air impermeable rubber and arranged radially inside the belt layer 7, and a sealant layer 10 attached to a radially inner surface (9a) of the inner liner layer 9. The sealant layer 10 comprises a crown portion 10A arranged at a center thereof in a tire axial direction and a pair of shoulder portions 10B arranged on both sides of the crown portion 10A in the tire axial direction. Viscosity μ2 of the shoulder portions 10B is larger than viscosity μ1 of the crown portion 10A.
