摘要: An OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) handheld device is provided comprising: a housing configured for handheld OCT scanning during a surgical procedure, the housing comprising an OCT scanning end and a proximal end opposite the OCT scanning end; an OCT scanning device inside the housing, the OCT scanning device configured for one or more of OCT polarized scanning and Doppler OCT scanning from the OCT scanning end, the OCT scanning device further configured to receive and convey OCT light between the proximal end and an OCT analysing system; and a tip extending from the OCT scanning end, the tip being removably attached to the OCT scanning end, the tip configured to receive and collect the OCT light therethrough. The OCT handheld device is configured to be removably draped around the tip, for use in the surgical procedure.

摘要: A device and method is provided for a suction tool combined with an optical probe. A suction device is provided having a tip with a hollow tubular body, a plurality of optical fibers embedded in the tip and a concentric ring attached to the tip, wherein the ring end has an inner beveled reflective surface opposing the optical fibers. A method is provided for optically measuring tissue in a medical procedure comprising suctioning a tissue using a suction device, sending optical signals along optical fibers through the suction device; directing the signals from the optical fibers onto the tissue using a beveled surface; receiving optical signals from the tissue in optical fibers via the beveled reflective surface; measuring the received optical signals in a spectrometer or detector; and releasing, resecting or ablating the tissue through the suction device.

摘要: The present invention provides a system and method for collection, storage and processing of tissues and cells. The system includes a collection container with chambers for storing and processing tissues, which are controllably separated and maintain a physiologic environment for the tissues. The system also includes a fluidic device for isolating target cells of interest. The method includes receiving the tissue into a collection chamber, transferring the tissue to a processing chamber, dissociating the tissue into single cells, and passing the single cells to a device for isolating one or more target cells.

摘要: An exoscope with enhanced depth of field imaging is provided. The exoscope includes first and second sets of optical devices, the first set having a fixed image plane, the second set having a variable image plane adjacent the fixed image plane of the first set. The second set includes at least one variable device configured to change the position of the variable image plane. A beamsplitter splits light from a combined optical path of the first and second set to respective image devices of the first and second set of optical devices. A controller controls the at least one variable device to change the position of the variable image plane relative to the fixed image plane, combines images acquired by the respective image devices, and controls a display device to render a combined image.

摘要: Systems, devices, and methods for performing tissue removal and analysis based on the in-situ optical analysis of tissue and liquid collected from a tissue region. A tissue removal and analysis probe involves an elongate tissue removal device, an optical fiber, and a fluid fillable conduit, wherein distal ends of the optical fiber and the conduit are in communication with an external region that is adjacent to a distal functional portion of the tissue removal device. The optical analysis results of at least one of external tissue and collected fluid is employed to determine whether tissue removal is to be performed. Various devices are interfaced with the conduit for optical analysis of the collected fluid. The tissue removal device is movable relative to the optical fiber and conduit.
