    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel and a backlight assembly. A light source unit of the backlight assembly includes a light source board including a conductive pattern, a light emitting chip on the light source board and electrically connected to the conductive pattern, a wavelength conversion member covering the light emitting chip and converting a wavelength of light emitted from the light emitting chip; and diffusion particles in the wavelength conversion member. The light emitting chip includes a rear surface facing the light source board, a top surface opposite to the rear surface and a side surface connecting the rear surface to the top surface. A density of the diffusion particles in the wavelength conversion member at the top surface of the light emitting chip is greater than a density of the diffusion particles in the wavelength conversion member at the side surface of the light emitting chip.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a light source which generates a first light, a display module which displays an image, a light guide plate disposed under the display module, and an optical filter disposed under the light guide plate to face the display module. The optical filter includes a filter layer which transmits a portion of the first light from the light guide plate and reflects a remaining portion of the first light except for the portion and an absorbing layer disposed under the filter layer to absorb the first light transmitted thereto through the filter layer. As an incident angle of the first light incident to the filter layer with respect to a normal line of an upper surface of the filter layer increases, an overlapping bandwidth between a reflection wavelength bandwidth of the filter layer and a wavelength bandwidth of the first light increases.

    Abstract: A light source assembly includes a light source board in which a first groove is defined; a light emitting chip which is the first groove and generates light; and a light conversion unit which is in the first groove to overlap the light emitting chip and emit converted light which is provided to a display panel which displays an image with the converted light. The light conversion unit includes a lower substrate in which a second groove is defined to face the light emitting chip; an upper substrate coupled to the lower substrate and in which a third groove is defined; and a wavelength conversion layer which converts the wavelength of the light provided from the light emitting chip and emits the converted light, the wavelength conversion layer in the third groove and between the lower substrate and the upper substrate to overlap the light emitting chip.
