Abstract: A liquid-crystal display device includes a first polarizer which has a transmission axis extended in a first direction, a second polarizer disposed above the first polarizer and which has a transmission axis extended in a second direction intersecting the first direction, a liquid-crystal layer disposed between the first polarizer and the second polarizers, and a linear patterned layer disposed between the liquid-crystal layer and the second polarizer, wherein the linear patterned layer comprises a pattern of linear features and the linear features of the pattern are extended in the second direction and spaced apart from one another in the first direction.
