    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a backlight assembly which provides a light and a display panel which receives the light provided from the backlight assembly to display an image. The backlight assembly includes a light source which generates the light, and a light guide plate. The light guide plate receives the light generated from the light source through an incident surface thereof as an incident light, and outputs the incident light through an exit surface thereof as an exit light. The light guide plate includes a first optical pattern and a second optical pattern. The first optical pattern is disposed corresponding to a first area of the exit surface and collects the incident light. The second optical pattern is disposed corresponding to a remaining second area of the exit surface excluding the first area, and collects the exit light.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a display member including a plurality of display elements and a sensing member including a first sensing pattern disposed on the display member and a second sensing pattern disposed on the display member and capacitively coupled to the first sensing pattern. Each of the first and second sensing patterns includes a plurality of mesh lines to define a plurality of openings. Each of the first and second sensing patterns includes a unit mesh pattern including a central opening and a plurality of peripheral openings surrounding the central opening. A plurality of cutting lines, each of which opens at least two adjacent openings of the plurality of peripheral openings to each other, are defined in the unit mesh pattern. The cutting lines are arranged in a direction surrounding the central opening.

    Abstract: A curved display device includes a backlight unit which generates light and a display panel which receives the generated light from the backlight unit. The backlight unit includes a light guide plate and is curved. The display panel is disposed on the curved backlight unit and is curved. The curved light guide plate defines a light incident surface thereof and an opposite surface. The light incident surface receives the light generated by the curved backlight unit.
