摘要: The present disclosure relates to a system and a method for connection management. The method includes establishing, by a UE, a connection with a 5G cell. The established connection with the 5G cell is in a current tracking area of a 5G New Radio (NR). Further, the method includes determining, by the UE, one or more Long-Term Evolution (LTE) cells in the current tracking area or registration area that are not accessible to the UE (300). The one or more LTE cells are configured to operate on an LTE frequency. Furthermore, the method includes temporarily deprioritising or disabling, by the UE, a Stand Alone (SA) mode based on the determination of the one or more LTE cells in the current tracking area or the registration area that are not accessible to the UE.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. For example, the disclosure relates to a method for switching a data session for an application, implemented in a user equipment with dual SIM. The method includes: determining a User Equipment (UE) Route Selection Policy (URSP) rule for a primary Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) and a secondary SIM. The method includes detecting a trigger for switching the data session of the application to the secondary SIM based on determination of the URSP rule, wherein the trigger includes one of a matching traffic descriptor, a dedicated network slice, a Quality of Service (QoS) rule and a user preference. The method includes configuring the secondary SIM for the DDS based on the trigger; and switching the data session of the application to the secondary SIM for continuing the data session.

摘要: According to various embodiments, a method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless network may include receiving a steering of roaming connected mode control information (SOR-CMCI) configuration or SOR information from a network entity, initiating a timer in response to receiving the SOR-CMCI configuration or the SOR information from the network entity, identifying whether the UE is in an idle mode before expiry of the timer, in case that the UE is in the idle mode, identifying a condition under which the UE is in the idle mode, and performing, based on the condition, a first operation of allowing the timer to continue running, or a second operation of stopping the timer and selecting a public land mobile network (PLMN).
