    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments disclosed herein provide method for managing a Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (NSSAI) list in a wireless network by a UE. The method includes receiving at least one event. The at least one event includes: receiving a deregistration request message from a network function (NF) entity, performing a deregistration event at the UE, or successfully completing a tracking area update procedure, a successful registration procedure, or an unsuccessful registration procedure. Further, the method includes deleting: a partially rejected NSSAI list or a partially allowed NSSAI list based on the at least one received event.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Embodiments disclosed herein relate to methods and systems for updating a partially allowed network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) list, and managing a congestion timer/back-off timer for an alternative single-NSSAI (S-NSSAI) in wireless communication networks. The methods include removing network slice support information stored in a user equipment (UE), if a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) message from a network indicates to delete the network slice support information. The methods include applying a back-off timer to the S-NSSAI to be replaced (S-NSSAI-1)/alternative S-NSSAI (S-NSSAI-A)/combination of S-NSSAI-A+S-NSSAI-1, on receiving a Packet Data Unit (PDU) session establishment request, when the network is congested. The methods include applying a back-off timer to the S-NSSAI-A/S-NSSAI-1/combination of S-NSSAI-A+S-NSSAI-1, on receiving a congestion timer from the network function while requesting an alternative S-NSSAI

The UE sends a PDU session establishment request when a number of active PDU sessions is lower than the count value for the maximum number of PDU sessions or an established PDU session is released on one or more of the first access and the second access in which the maximum number of the PDU sessions has been reached.

    Abstract: According to an example embodiment of the disclosure, a method for performing network slice reselection by a User Equipment (UE) is disclosed. The method comprises identifying allowed network slices within a first Network Slice Simultaneous Registration Group (NSSRG) for first applications at the UE. The method comprises receiving an initialization request from a second application at the UE. The method comprises determining one or more UE Route Selection Policy (URSP) rules for the second application. The method comprises determining whether the network slice required for the second application corresponds to one of the one or more allowed network slices within the first NSSRG. The method comprises transmitting, to a network, a second registration request for registration of the UE to a second NSSRG including the network slice required for the second application based on the URSP rules for the second application.

    Abstract: A method of selecting access network for routing data of user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving trigger indicating a requirement of one or more network services.
