Abstract: A method and an apparatus for reducing power consumption of an electronic device are provided. The method includes executing an app in response to a first user input and switching the app to a background in response to a second user input. The method also includes confirming whether the app that has been switched to the background satisfies at least one condition and automatically limiting an operation of the app when the app that has been switched to the background satisfies the at least one condition. A result of the automatically limiting operation the operation of the app is displayed.

Abstract: An electronic device includes: a location measurement circuitry; a rechargeable battery; a memory configured to store instructions; and at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to execute the instructions to: monitor a usage pattern of the battery while the electronic device operates in a first power management state; acquire, based on determining that the usage pattern of the battery is different from a reference pattern derived from a model, information on a location in which the battery is estimated to be charged and information on a time at which the battery is estimated to be charged using the model; and switch, partially based on the information on the location and the information on the time, the first power management state to a second power management state based on a second maximum driving frequency lower than the first maximum driving frequency.

Abstract: An electronic device for reducing a screen providing time and a control method thereof are provided. The electronic device includes a processor, a memory configured to store instructions, a display module configured to be driven in at least one state of a first state or a second state, wherein the second state is different from the first state, and a sensor module configured to detect the state of the display module, wherein, the instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the electronic device to determine whether the display module changes from the first state to the second state, in response to the state of the display module changing to the second state, generate image information obtained by converting an image displayed on the display module in the first state, store the generated image information in the at least one memory, and in response to the display module changing from the second state to the first state, output an image displayed on the display module based on the stored image information. The image information obtained by converting the image displayed on the display module may include information on an image converted from an image desired by a user.
