摘要: A method for handling cell selection in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes detecting, by a UE, a plurality of neighboring LTE cells having a signal strength better than a serving LTE cell. Further, the method includes acquiring, by the UE, a SIB 1 type message from the detected plurality of neighboring LTE cells. Further, the method includes detecting, by the UE, a neighboring LTE cell from the detected plurality of neighboring cells to have a 5GC based on the acquired SIB 1 type message. Further, the method includes prioritizing selection of the neighboring LTE cell having the 5GC over the detected plurality of neighboring cells.

摘要: In an embodiment, a method, implemented in a User Equipment (UE) operating in Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) New Radio-Dual Connectivity (EN-DC), of adding a New Radio (NR) Secondary Node (SN) in EN-DC is disclosed. The method includes receiving, in response to a measurement report sent by the UE, configuration data associated with an NR cell. The method includes, ascertaining whether the configuration data comprises a pre-determined parameter indicative of a frequency-shift for dynamic spectrum sharing for an uplink. The method includes performing one of an addition of an NR SN corresponding to the NR cell or a transmission of a failure notification message to the MN, based upon determining that the pre-determined parameter indicative of the frequency-shift criteria for dynamic spectrum sharing for the uplink is absent or present in the configuration data.

摘要: A method of throttling data transmissions in a user equipment (UE) includes determining that a current temperature of the UE is greater than a threshold temperature, identifying a set of data transmissions from a plurality of data transmissions occurring at the UE based on a socket priority of each of the plurality of data transmissions, and throttling the identified set of data transmissions for a time duration for which the current temperature is determined to be greater than the threshold temperature.

摘要: The present subject matter refers a method of cell selection and reselection. The method comprises detecting a plurality of neighboring cells and their associated plurality of cell capabilities while the UE, having an associated UE capability, is connected to a serving cell. A possible throughput for the plurality of neighbouring cells is determined based on the detected plurality of cell capability and UE capability. A first neighboring cell is selected from the plurality of neighboring cells based on the determined possible throughput.

摘要: A method for managing sleep duration in a 5th Generation (5G) and a user equipment (UE) are provided. The method includes sending, by the UE, a plurality of data packets to a network in a connected mode discontinuous reception (cDRX) cycle and detecting, by the UE, an initiation of a retransmission timer associated with the plurality of data packets. The method includes determining, by the UE, if a retransmission of at least one data packet the plurality of data packets is required, and causing, by the UE, to sleep before an expiry of the retransmission timer, in response to determining that the retransmission of the at least one data packet of the plurality of data packets is not required.

摘要: Accordingly the embodiments herein provide a method for indication of change in multi-radio access technology (RAT) dual connectivity (MR-DC) capability of a user equipment (UE). The method includes detecting the change in the MR-DC capability of the UE, and identifying an operation mode of the UE, the operation mode being one of an idle mode and a connected mode. The method further comprises in response to the operation mode being the idle mode, detecting an event, checking a validity of the change in the MR-DC capability of the UE after detecting the event, and indicating the change in the MR-DC capability of the UE to the first network node based on a result of the check. Further the method comprises in response to the operation mode being the connected mode, identifying that UE-assistance information is configured by the first network node, and indicating the change in the MR-DC capability of the UE to the first network node based on the UE-assistance information.
