Abstract: This disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for operating a processor in an electronic device. The method includes identifying an average throughput for a first set of subframes, predicting a load of the processor for a second set of subframes based on the identified average throughput, determining an operating frequency of the processor for the second set of subframes based on the predicted load, and operating the processor on the determined operating frequency for the second set of subframes.

Abstract: A method of throttling data transmissions in a user equipment (UE) includes determining that a current temperature of the UE is greater than a threshold temperature, identifying a set of data transmissions from a plurality of data transmissions occurring at the UE based on a socket priority of each of the plurality of data transmissions, and throttling the identified set of data transmissions for a time duration for which the current temperature is determined to be greater than the threshold temperature.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for sensor-based beam management by user equipment (UE). The method includes obtaining, by the UE, a reference beam pair and a first set of neighbor beam pairs in a first reception direction for connecting with a network; determining, by the UE, a change in the first reception direction, based on sensor data; identifying, by the UE, a second set of neighbor beam pairs in the changed first reception direction; measuring, by the UE, a plurality of beam parameters for neighbor beam pairs in the second set of neighbor beam pairs; determining, by the UE, an optimal beam pair from the identified second set of neighbor beam pairs based on the plurality of measured beam parameters; and configuring, by the UE, an optimal beam pair for connecting with the network.
