Abstract:
A Channel Status Information (CSI) transmission method and apparatus of a terminal are provided for use in a wireless communication system. In the wireless communication system supporting carrier aggregation, the terminal transmits the CSIs of component carriers without conflict of their transmission time points, resulting in an improvement of system performance. In a case where the transmission time points are determined to overlap unavoidably, the terminal transmits the CSI as compressed.
Abstract:
A method, base station, and terminal employing time division duplex and carrier aggregation are disclosed. The method by the base station includes transmitting, to a terminal, scheduling information on a control channel of a first cell, and transmitting, to the terminal, data on a shared channel of a second cell based on the scheduling information. The scheduling information is transmitted in a first downlink subframe or a first subframe including downlink pilot time slot (DwPTS) based on first subframe configuration information of the first cell. The data is transmitted in a second downlink subframe or a second subframe including DwPTS corresponding to the first downlink subframe or the first subframe. The first subframe configuration information of the first cell is different from second subframe configuration information of the second cell.
Abstract:
A method for activating/deactivating secondary carriers of a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system supporting carrier aggregation is provided. The method comprises, receiving a control message including an activation/deactivation Control Element (CE) in a first sub-frame from a Base station, identifying an activation command or a deactivation command of at least one secondary carrier based on the control message, determining whether a current sub-frame is a second sub-frame or not, performing at least one first operation for the at least one secondary carrier in a second sub-frame, and performing, when the activation/deactivation CE indicates deactivation of the at least one secondary carrier, at least one second operation for the at least one secondary carrier no later than the second sub-frame.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for transmitting and receiving references signals. A method includes receiving first and second cell specific parameters; receiving a third UE specific parameter; acquiring a first reference signal for a PUSCH, based on the third parameter; acquiring a second reference signal for a PUCCH, based on the first parameter; and transmitting at least one of the first reference signal and the second reference signal. Sequence hopping and group sequence hopping are disabled for the first reference signal, regardless of values of the first parameter and the second parameter, if the third parameter indicates that the sequence hopping and the group sequence hopping are disabled. The group sequence hopping is applied to acquire the second reference signal, if the first parameter indicates that the group sequence hopping is enabled and the third parameter indicates that the sequence hopping and the group sequence hopping are disabled.

Methods and apparatuses are provided for transmitting and receiving references signals. A method includes transmitting a first parameter and a second parameter, which are cell specific parameters; transmitting a third parameter, which is a UE specific parameter; transmitting a CSI; and receiving at least one of a first reference signal, which is generated based on the CSI, for a PUSCH and a second reference signal for a PUCCH. The first reference signal is generated by not applying sequence hopping and group sequence hopping, regardless of values of the first parameter and the second parameter, if the third parameter indicates that the sequence hopping and the group sequence hopping are disabled. The second reference signal is generated by applying the group sequence hopping, if the first parameter indicates that the group sequence hopping is enabled and the third parameter indicates that the sequence hopping and the group sequence hopping are disabled.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting Uplink Control Information (UCI) on a data channel in a multi-carrier wireless communication system. The method includes channel-coding a UCI with reference to a number of UCI bits available; dividing the channel coded UCI bits into a number of Physical Uplink Shared Channels (PUSCHs); and transmitting the UCI multiplexed with data on the individual PUSCHs.
