    Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing having a first surface, and a second surface. The second surface includes a first part and a second part that protrudes further than the first part, and a side member configured to be a part of the second surface or formed separately and surround a space between the first surface and the second surface. The electronic device includes a display, a wireless communication circuit, a memory, a processor and electrically connected to one of the display, the wireless communication circuit, and the memory, and a battery configured to supply power to at least one of the display, the wireless communication circuit, the memory, and the processor. A part of the battery is disposed in a partial space between the second part of the second surface and the first surface.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a portable electronic device including a housing including a first surface and a second surface facing a direction opposite to the first surface, a display including a touchscreen panel exposed through the first surface of the housing and having a substantially rectangular shape, wherein the display has a first side and a third side extending with a first length in a first direction, and a second side and a fourth side substantially perpendicular to the first direction and extending with a second length which is less than the first length, and wherein a ratio of the first length to the second length is x:9, in which the x is equal to or greater than 16, a wireless communication circuit, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to display at least one first icon having a first size on a first region in contact with the second side or the fourth side of the display or adjacent to the second side or the fourth side while longitudinally extending, display at least one second icon having a second size on the first region, based at least partially on an event occurring inside the electronic device or an event received through the wireless communication circuit, receive a user input for selecting the at least one second icon through the first region of the display, and perform a function associated with the event, based on the received user input. Besides, various embodiments understood through the specification are possible.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing including a first surface, a second surface, and a third surface defining an internal space of the housing, a touch screen display interposed between the first surface and the second surface, and a sensor module disposed under the touch screen display and including a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit, wherein the third surface includes a plurality of through holes each including optical structures, wherein a portion of light emitted from the light emitting unit is guided to an exterior of the electronic device through a first optical structure of a first through hole, and wherein at least a portion of light introduced from the exterior of the electronic device is guided to the light receiving unit on a second optical structure of a second through hole.
