Abstract: Various embodiments of the disclosure relate to an electronic device including an under display camera (UDC). The electronic device includes: a housing, a display, and a camera disposed inside the housing overlapping a portion of the display and acquiring light passing through the display from outside. The display includes a first area in which a first pixel overlapping with at least a portion of the camera and a first pixel driving circuit for driving the first pixel are disposed, and a second area, other than the first area, in which a second pixel and a second pixel driving circuit for driving the second pixel are disposed. The first pixel driving circuit includes a first driving thin film transistor (TFT) having a first channel region having a straight shape does not include a curved shape, and the second pixel driving circuit includes a second driving TFT having a second channel region of a curved shape. A first channel width of the first driving TFT is greater than a second channel width of the second driving TFT, and a first channel length of the first driving TFT is less than a second channel length of the second driving TFT.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the disclosure relate to an electronic device including a display and a camera. The electronic device may include a camera overlapping the display and configured to photograph external light passing through the display, wherein the display may include: a colorless and transparent substrate, a pixel layer disposed in a first direction from the substrate and comprising organic light-emitting diode (OLED) type pixels, an organic encapsulation layer (e.g., thin film encapsulation (TFE)) disposed in the first direction from the pixel layer, and a color filter layer disposed in the first direction from the organic encapsulation layer, wherein the display may include: a first area overlapping at least a portion of the camera and a second area not overlapping the camera, wherein an arrangement density of a first group of pixels in the first area may be lower than an arrangement density of a second group of pixels in the second area, and wherein the color filter layer may include first color filters overlapping the pixels of the first group, second color filters overlapping the pixels of the second group, a black matrix disposed between the second color filters in the second area, and a transmission area disposed between the first color filters in the first area.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display, a display driver integrated circuit (IC) that controls the display, a camera disposed in a display area, and a processor connected with the display driver IC and the camera. The display includes a normal area having a first pixel density, a camera light-receiving area where the camera is disposed and at least one pixel is disposed, the camera light-receiving area having a second pixel density lower than first pixel density, and a circuit area provided between the normal area and the camera light-receiving area and having a third pixel density, and a circuit that transfers a drive voltage to the pixel disposed in the camera light-receiving area is disposed in the circuit area. The third pixel density is lower than or equal to the first pixel density, and the third pixel density is higher than the second pixel density.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an electronic device for acquiring biometric information and an operating method thereof. An electronic device may include: a display including one or more pixels, each pixel including one or more subpixels, and the display configured to include a first area and a second area; a display driver IC configured to control driving of the display; a biometric sensor configured to at least partially overlap the second area, and configured to acquire biometric information; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to: identify a request for acquisition of the biometric information; based at least in part on the request, identify state information related to the acquisition of the biometric information; and if the state information satisfies a specified condition, perform a first acquisition of the biometric information using light emitted through the second area, wherein the light emitted through the second area has a specified level of brightness, and wherein in performing the first acquisition of the biometric information, the processor may be further configured to adjust an intensity of light emitted through the first area to be lower than the specified level of brightness.
