Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for providing communication between a multiple subscriber identity module (SIM) user equipment (UE) and multiple networks. The method may comprise notifying at least one second SIM to hold decoding of paging data associated with a paging channel monitoring request, the at least one second SIM registered with at least one second network of the plurality of networks. The method may comprise receiving an indication associated with the paging channel monitoring request from the at least one second network. The method may comprise transmitting the indication associated with paging channel monitoring request, to a first SIM registered with a first network of the plurality of networks, the indication associated with the paging channel monitoring request meant for at least one second SIM and allowing the first SIM to instruct the at least one second SIM to resume decoding of the paging data.

Abstract: A method for determining a number of paths between a Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) and a plurality of Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMS) of a User Equipment (UE), the plurality of SIMS including a primary SIM and a secondary SIM, the method including detecting, by the UE, at least one event associated with the secondary SIM, determining, by the UE, a tune away duration associated with the primary SIM based on the at least one event associated with the secondary SIM, determining, by the UE, an amount of resource loss by the primary SIM and a data throughput reduction of the primary SIM based on the tune away duration, and determining, by the UE, the number of paths between the RFIC and the plurality of SIMS based on the amount of resource loss by the primary SIM and the data throughput reduction of the primary SIM.

Abstract: Some example embodiments disclose methods for improving Paging Type2 performance in Dual Sim Dual Standby (DSDS) devices, wherein the methods include transmitting a status Packet Data Unit (PDU) for a Signaling Radio Bearer (SRB) to a network; initiating a first timer in response to the transmitting the status PDU; blocking a radio frequency tune away to a first Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) if one or more missing PDUs are not received before expiry of the first timer; initiating a second timer in response to the blocking the RF tune away; and retaining, by a second SIM, radio frequency resources until expiry of the second timer or the one or more missing PDUs are received from the network.

Abstract: A method for sharing a radio frequency (RF) resource among multi-subscriber identification module (SIM) stacks in a multi-SIM device, includes: receiving two paging requests from the multi-SIM stacks for performing communication with a network entity via the RF resource; transmitting the two paging received requests to the network entity via the RF resource; detecting a page sharing conflict between the two paging requests of the multi-SIM stacks; determining, based on the detection of the page sharing conflict, a connection status of a connection between each stack of the multi-SIM stacks and the network entity. The connection status indicates a communication medium via which each stack of the multi-SIM stacks is connected with the network entity. The method includes prioritizing, based on the determined connection status, a grant of the RF resource to a stack of the multi-SIM stacks whose connection status indicates a cellular connection as the communication medium.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a user equipment and a method for operating multi-universal subscriber identity module in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving parameters of a first paging cycle configuration in a first broadcast information from a first network entity and receiving parameters of a second paging cycle configuration in a second broadcast information from a second network entity. Subsequently, the method includes detecting one of a collision of a paging occasion of the first paging cycle configuration and a paging occasion of the second paging cycle configuration, a collision of a paging occasion of first paging cycle configuration and time-critical information broadcast from the second network entity and a collision of a paging occasion of second paging cycle configuration and time-critical information broadcast from the first network entity.
