Abstract: According to various embodiments of the present invention, an electronic device may comprise a touch layer in which a sensor may be disposed below a designated area, wherein the touch layer comprises: a first touch line including a first touch electrode and a second touch electrode arranged in a first direction in the designated area; a second touch line including a third touch electrode and a fourth touch electrode arranged in a second direction while crossing the first touch line in the designated area; a first opening formed in the area where the first touch line and the second touch line cross each other; and a first connection wiring disposed in the peripheral portion of the first opening and connecting the first touch electrode and the second touch electrode to each other. Various other embodiments are also possible.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device may comprise: one or more first electrodes; one or more second electrodes arranged in at least a different direction from the one or more first electrodes; one or more third electrodes arranged between the one or more second electrodes, respectively, in the same direction as the second electrodes when viewed from above; and a control circuit, wherein the control circuit is configured to detect touch information related to an external object, at least on the basis of a change in a capacitance value between at least a part of the one or more first electrodes and at least a part of the one or more second electrodes, and detect hovering information related to the external object, at least on the basis of a capacitance value related to at least a part of the one or more third electrodes. Abstract: Electronic devices including touch circuits and method of operating the electronic devices are provided. An electronic device includes a display; a touch circuit configured to detect a touch put on the display; a processor; and a memory. The touch circuit is further configured to acquire touch sensing information representing the sensitivity levels of inputs to respective multiple nodes of the touch circuit, identify information associated with a user's ear touching the electronic device, on the basis of the touch sensing information; and transfer, to the processor, the information associated with the ear touching. The memory stores instructions, which when executed, cause the processor to control the display to an on-state and to control the display to switch the display from the on-state to an off-state based on the information associated with the ear touching, which is obtained from the touch circuit.
