The method includes: summarizing the text by extracting at least one sentence from the text; identifying attributes of analysis units included in the sentence of the summarized text; and translating the summarized text based on the identified attributes.

An electronic device and a method for using speech recognition are provided. The electronic device includes an input device, a touch screen display, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores a first software program that can be triggered in response to a first user input, and instructions which when executed by the processor, configures the processor to control for receiving a second user input that is different from the first user input through the input device and a selected region on the display, switching the electronic device to a state where the electronic device can receive a speech through the microphone in response to the second user input, receiving the speech from an external source through the microphone in the state, and executing the first software program using at least a part of the received speech without receiving the first user input.

An operation method capable of adaptively operating at least one of a Speech To Text (STT) service and a Text To Speech (TTS) service according to setting or user operation and a system thereof are provided. The method includes requesting a specific type of a communication service connection to a reception side terminal by a transmission side terminal, and performing an operation of at least one of a speech to text service providing speech recognition based text and a text to speech service converting the text into speech data between the reception side terminal and the transmission side terminal, and includes one of recognizing speech data provided from the transmission side terminal and converting the speech data into a text based on a first speech process supporting device connected to the transmission side terminal.

The at least one memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the main processor to receive a first voice input to register the wake-up word, when the first voice input does not include a specified word, to receive a second voice input including a word identical to the first voice input, through the microphone, to generate a wake-up word recognition model for recognizing the wake-up word, and to store the generated wake-up word recognition model in the at least one memory, and when the first voice input includes the specified word, to output information for requesting a third voice input, through the speaker or the display.
