A method of controlling a mobile apparatus having a hand writing function using a multi touch includes detecting a hand writing input that is input to a hand writing input window on a touch screen of the mobile apparatus, determining whether the detected hand writing input is a multi touch input or a single touch input, generating a hand writing output including multi touch output corresponding to the multi touch input and single touch output corresponding to the single touch input; and displaying the hand writing output in an output window on the touch screen.

An electronic device and a method for managing an object in a folder on the electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a displaying unit, and a controller performing control to display a first folder including at least one object on a screen of the displaying unit, display at least one recommended folder associated with the first folder or an object selected from among the at least one object, along with the first folder, on the screen where the first folder is displayed, when the selected object is moved to a second folder among the at least one recommended folder, include the selected object in the second folder.

Methods and electronic devices are provided for processing an input. A first object is displayed on a display of the electronic device. A first input related to the first object is received from a user of the electronic device. The first object is moved according to the first input. A speed at which the first object is moving is determined. The speed is compared with a preset threshold. An instruction corresponding to the first input is determined based on a comparison of the speed with the preset threshold. The instruction is executed.

An operating method of an electronic device is provided. The method includes determining whether a present point in time corresponds to a predetermined period or event, obtaining a content associated with the predetermined period or event, and providing the content as at least a part of a user interface displayed on a user interface screen of the electronic device.
