A method, terminal, and base station for performing a random access procedure in a wireless communication system are provided. The terminal method includes, receiving, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message including dedicated configuration information for an RA, identifying whether information on a maximum number for message A (MSGA) transmissions is configured in the dedicated configuration information, and in case that the information on the maximum number is configured in the dedicated configuration information, performing the RA procedure based on the information on the maximum number.

The present disclosure relates to a method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for performing same, the method comprising the steps of obtaining an uplink transmission resource, determining whether a medium access control (MCA) protocol data unit (PDU), which is to be transmitted as the uplink transmission resource, is stored in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) buffer, and identifying the priority of the uplink transmission resource on the basis of a result of the determination.

According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, in a wireless communication system, a terminal may include at least one transceiver and at least one processor coupled with the at least one transceiver, the at least one processor may be configured to receive system information from a cell of a base station, determine whether the cell supports new radio (NR) lite, based on the system information, and if the cell supports the NR lite, perform a random access procedure for the cell, and for the terminal performing the NR lite, at least one of a subcarrier spacing (SCS), a transport block (TB) size, or a bandwidth part (BWP) is reduced to a designated value, compared to other terminal not performing the NR lite.
