摘要: The invention is a method for monitoring an amount of gas available in a cryosurgical system used for conducting a cryosurgical procedure. Based on information pertaining to a planned cryosurgical procedure, cryoprobe-specific information for each cryoprobe connected to the cryosurgical system, the specified volumetric capacity of a cryogas source, and measured pressure of the gas in the cryogas source, the method determines the mass flow rates of gas flowing through each cryoprobe, the total mass flow rate of the gas through the cryosurgical system, and the mass of the gas in the cryogas source at standard atmospheric conditions. The amount of time available for completing the cryosurgical procedure before the cryogas source is expended is determined as the arithmetic ratio of the mass of the gas in the cryogas source to the total mass flow rate of the gas through the cryosurgical system.

摘要: An implantable device includes a housing, a circuit board having a plurality of through holes, and a plurality of interconnect pins within the housing and oriented perpendicular to a major surface of the housing. The circuit board is connected to the interconnect pins such that the pins extend through the through holes of the circuit board.

摘要: An implantable device includes a header, a pulse generator housing, one or more electrical connectors connected to the header, and a feedthrough assembly mounted to the pulse generator housing. The feedthrough assembly includes a nonconductive base having one or more holes therethrough, the feedthrough assembly further including one or more feedthrough pins, each feedthrough pin extending through one of the holes, each feedthrough pin including a pin body and an upper contact surface for connecting to one or more of the electrical connectors, the upper contact surface having a larger surface area than a cross-sectional area of the pin body.

摘要: Example embodiments of an implantable device are configured to be implanted within a patient to provide medical therapy to the patient. In general, an implantable rechargeable device includes a rechargeable battery and an electronic board assembly arranged within a case and an antenna electrically coupled to the rechargeable battery. The antenna is configured to receive power and to transfer at least a portion of the received power to the rechargeable battery for recharging. A phase change material is arranged within the case around at least a portion of the electronic board assembly. The phase change material is configured to transition from a first phase to a second phase at a transition temperature when the insulating material absorbs heat (e.g., from the electronic board assembly).
