摘要: A cryoablation system comprises a balloon catheter including a cryoballoon, and a fluid container configured to supply cryogenic fluid to the cryoballoon and to store a residual fluid quantity. A first fluid sensor senses the residual fluid quantity and generates a first sensor output. A second fluid sensor senses fluid consumption information representing an amount of fluid consumption by the balloon catheter during one or more ablation procedures, and generates a second sensor output. A controller receives the first sensor output and the second sensor output and determines residual cryoablation information based at least in part on the first sensor output and the second sensor output.

摘要: Systems and methods for controllably variable fluid flow are disclosed that provide the ability to modify the effective cross-sectional area of the fluid delivery conduit available for fluid flow. Accordingly, selective control of these configurations allows fluid flow to be regulated as desired while the fluid delivery pressure remains the same. Additional configurations provided herein allow for the selective manipulation of a footprint or therapeutic pattern achievable with the medical device during a single procedure, negating the need for the removal and insertion of multiple devices to achieve the same variations in treatment geometry or characteristics.

摘要: Apparatus and methods for treating and monitoring conditions such as rhinitis are disclosed herein. The technology utilizes ultrasound scans to identify target treatment sites, and monitor the treatment of a patient undergoing a treatment. The treatment may be an ablation treatment of a nasal nerve, for example the PNN for the treatment of nasal conditions, such as rhinitis. The ultrasound scans are performed within the nasal cavity with an ultrasound probe or a combined ultrasound and ablation probe and may use Doppler, A-mode, B-mode, M-mode or other ultrasound and non-ultrasound modalities to detect and monitor the target treatment sites.

摘要: A method for reshaping a nasal airway in a patient involves advancing an inflatable balloon of a reshaping device in an uninflated configuration into a nostril of the patient and between a nasal septum and a lateral wall of the nasal airway. The method then involves inflating the inflatable balloon to an inflated configuration to cause the inflatable balloon to contact nasal mucosa covering the nasal septum and the lateral wall, delivering energy from an energy delivery member attached to or inside of the inflatable balloon, and removing the reshaping device from the nasal airway.

摘要: A steering assembly for steering, navigating, articulating and/or positioning a catheter includes a steering ring having a first edge surface, a second edge surface and a side surface. The steering ring includes one or more notches formed within the side surface. The notches are spaced apart and extend to one of the first edge surface and the second edge surface. The steering ring can also include one or more apertures formed within the side surface. In one embodiment, the steering ring can include one or more lattice structures formed within the side surface. In certain embodiments, the lattice structures can form at least approximately 10%, 25% and/or 50% of the side surface.
