摘要: Disclosed is a mechanism for separating a sheet one by one from stacked sheets, wherein a sucker is rotatably supported so that the sucker is moved up and down, back and forth. When the sucker is retracted in a state where the sheet is being sucked, the sucker is caused to be rotatively driven and to change the direction of suction surface, so that a front end portion of sucked sheet is lifted up, and one sheet can be separated reliably one by one.

摘要: A printhead including plural groups of nozzles, which are provided for plural types of ink and each group of nozzles consists of a plurality of nozzles corresponding to one type of ink, is used to print a pixel with dots which are formed with plural types of ink. For the plural groups of nozzles in the printhead, a per-nozzle density table, indicative of a print density for each nozzle constituting the group of nozzles, is provided. With respect to a pixel of interest, a nozzle to be driven for discharge is determined, and a print density of the pixel of interest is calculated with reference to the per-nozzle density table. Based on the calculated print density of the pixel and a print density of the pixel designated by image data, error diffusion processing is performed. Density unevenness in the nozzles is corrected in this manner to achieve high-quality image forming.

摘要: When data to be output in accordance with a predetermined protocol and attached information of the data are input in setting output conditions of an output apparatus capable of setting a plurality of output parameters, information concerning output of the data is detected from the attached information. An output parameter is selected in accordance with the detected information, and the data is converted in accordance with the selected output parameter. This reduces operations by a user, so an appropriate output corresponding to the data can be obtained without any expert knowledge. This invention is applicable to, e.g., an output system for printing medical images.

摘要: A heat development device for thermally developing a latent image formed on a sheet includes a sheet guide means in the form of a plate and a heating means for heating the sheet guide means. The heating means has a width more than a width of the sheet guide means and has both ends in a width direction each of which extends outwardly from a corresponding end of the sheet guide means. The heating means may preferably be divided into at least three portions which are controllable independently. The heat development device may preferably further includes a sheet pressing means for pressing the sheet against the sheet guide means. The heat development device is effective in improving a thermal distribution of the sheet guide means to provide an image having a uniform image density formed on the sheet when used in an image recording apparatus.

摘要: In a braking force control system for a vehicle having a braking system capable of controlling braking force of each of right and left front wheels and right and left rear wheels independently of one another, when anti-skid control starts being performed on one of the front wheels while the vehicle is running on a road having different coefficients of friction on the left side and right side thereof, increase of the braking force of the other front wheel laterally opposite to the above-indicated one front wheel is suppressed, and increase of the braking force of at least one of the right and left rear wheels is suppressed.
