    摘要: A rolling guide unit in which the cross-section of a track rail is U-shaped wherein grinding processing of a track provided on the inside surface is facilitated. In addition, the thickness of the overall unit can be decreased by employing a self-traveling unit in which a motor is installed on a slider of a rolling guide unit. Grinding is facilitated by a split rail along one of the side walls of a track rail, and grinding can be performed with the split rail removed. In addition, since the entire outside surface of the side wall of the track rail can be used as a track for a rolling member, even if the track rail is flat, it is able to sufficiently transfer driving force, thereby allowing the thickness of the entire unit to be decreased.

    摘要: An object measuring apparatus for measuring the dimensions of an object, and controlling the pushing pressure of a probe that makes contact with the measured object. A table is movably mounted on a base member, a drive unit includes armature coils on the base member and a field magnet on the table, and a probe is fastened to the table and driven along the base member by the drive unit. A linear magnetic scale is provided on the base member, and a magnetic sensor portion is provided on the table. A measuring position detection sensor on the probe detects the object to be measured. An output from the measuring position detection sensor indicating that an object has been detected, and the pulse output generated by relative movement of the sensor portion and the scale, are supplied to a processing unit to calculate the dimensions of the object. The thrust of the probe is nearly proportional to the drive current supplied to the armature coils, so that the thrust of the probe unit can be controlled before determining the dimensions of the object.

    摘要: A linear motion rolling guide unit in which the ball retaining capability of retainer bands for retaining balls is improved by increasing the holding area and rigidity thereof. Each of the retainer bands extends along the relative raceway groove in a casing, and is fitted in a non-contacting state, i.e., loosely in the relative retainer band fitting groove formed along a raceway groove in a side surface of a track rail, the retainer band being formed so that both of longitudinal corner portions thereof which continue from the ball retaining surface thereof have an acute angle. The width of the ball retaining ball-opposed surface of the retainer band is set larger than that of a rear surface thereof which is on the opposite side of the ball retaining surface, i.e., the retainer band is formed to a substantially trapezoidal cross-sectional shape.

    摘要: A positioning table assembly includes a table slidably mounted on a pair of guide rails. The table is divided into a central section and a peripheral section which are connected through a connecting section. A traction shaft of a drive motor extends through a center slot formed in the central section. A piezoelectric device is mounted on the table to displace the central section relative to the peripheral section. When the piezoelectric device is energized, the central section is displaced to establish a frictional contact between the traction shaft in rotation and the central section so that the table may move in either direction depending on the direction of rotation of the traction shaft.
