    摘要: Pipe machining apparatuses and bearing assemblies are provided. In one aspect, a pipe machining apparatus includes a frame, a tool carrier, a first roller bearing and a second roller bearing. The tool carrier is coupled to and movable relative to the frame and defines a race therein. The first roller bearing includes a first shaft and a first roller rotatably coupled to the first shaft. The first roller is at least partially positioned in the race and is rotatable about a first roller bearing axis adapted to remain substantially fixed relative to the frame. The second roller bearing includes a second shaft and a second roller rotatably coupled to the second shaft. The second roller is at least partially positioned in the race and is rotatable about a second roller bearing axis. The second roller bearing is adjustable to move the second roller bearing axis relative to the frame.

    摘要: A swivel head assembly for a clamshell lathe is provided. The swivel head module includes an adjustable tool head assembly. The adjustable tool head assembly has a tool for machining a work piece, and is capable of being incrementally advanced in a radial direction against the work piece. The swivel head assembly further includes a means for positioning the metal working tool along an x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis. A tripper assembly is operatively coupled to the tool head assembly to incrementally urge the tool head against the work piece upon each revolution of the clamshell ring. The tripper assembly incorporates a solenoid for selectively incrementally advancing the tool against the work piece.

    摘要: There is provided a lubricating method for a rolling bearing assembly capable of achieving a reliable lubrication and exhibiting a stable temperature rise. The method is for supplying a lubricant oil to the rolling bearing assembly during the operation thereof, in which in order to keep the temperature of a rolling bearing assembly (103) within a predetermined tolerance, the amount of the lubricant oil to be supplied during the operation is automatically or manually adjusted by means of a supply adjusting unit (102). Supply of the lubricant oil is performed in the form of an air/oil mixture by the use of a lubricant supply unit (101). The amount of the lubricant oil supplied varies depending on the rotational speed of the rolling bearing assembly (103). Change of the amount of the lubricant oil supplied depending on the rotational speed of the rolling bearing assembly (103) is carried out based on a result of sampling of data showing increase in temperature of the rolling bearing assembly (103) depending on the rotational speed thereof under a plurality of different lubricating conditions in which a different amount of the lubricant oil to be supplied is employed.

    摘要: A relatively movable unit with rolling elements, or balls, adapted for use in a linear motion guide unit or a ball nut screw assembly. The relatively movable unit has lubricating rings disposed between any adjoining balls to thereby lubricate the balls. In the linear motion guide unit employing this relatively movable unit, the balls are confined in raceways at the interfaces between a track rail and a slider, while the lubricating ring is arranged between the adjoining balls. The lubricating ring is provided therein with spherical pockets opened to each other through a window at the center of the ring. The lubricating ring may be produced by forming a mixture of lubricant of turbine oil with resinous material of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene powder in a mold under pressure, and heating the molded mixture under pressure.

    摘要: The present invention provides a linear motion clamping unit capable of reliably holding the casing unit at an arbitrary position on the track rail with a small force. In this linear motion clamping unit, when the actuators are deenergized, the rollers arranged in the openings of the retainers are pushed by the spring force through the retainers to engage with the lock portions formed between the inclined surfaces of the wedge members and the side wall surfaces of the track rail. The resulting wedge action locks the casing unit on the track rail in one axial direction. When the actuators are energized, the rollers are released from the lock portions by the action of the retainers, thus unlocking the casing unit.

    摘要: A rolling guide unit in which the cross-section of a track rail is U-shaped wherein grinding processing of a track provided on the inside surface is facilitated. In addition, the thickness of the overall unit can be decreased by employing a self-traveling unit in which a motor is installed on a slider of a rolling guide unit. Grinding is facilitated by a split rail along one of the side walls of a track rail, and grinding can be performed with the split rail removed. In addition, since the entire outside surface of the side wall of the track rail can be used as a track for a rolling member, even if the track rail is flat, it is able to sufficiently transfer driving force, thereby allowing the thickness of the entire unit to be decreased.
