摘要： The printing device for carrying out printing on a translucent printing medium includes: a print head having a first applying portion for applying a first color material onto the printing medium, a second applying portion for applying a second color material, and a third applying portion for applying an opaque specialty ink; a conveying portion for conveying the printing medium relative to the print head; and a printing control portion configured to execute printing according to a printing mode in which a first color-producing layer of the first color material is formed on the conveying printing medium using the first applying portion, an opaque light-blocking layer of the specialty ink is formed using the third applying portion, and a second color-producing layer of the second color material is formed over the light-blocking layer using the second applying portion after the light-blocking layer is formed.

摘要： Provided is an ink jet printing method of discharging glitter ink, of which glitter pigment is dispersed in water, onto a non-ink-absorption or low-ink-absorption printing medium in an ink jet method. The ink jet printing method includes: a foundation layer formation process of forming a foundation layer by providing resin ink, of which a resin component is dispersed or dissolved in a dispersion medium, onto at least a portion of the printing medium on which the glitter ink is intended to be discharged; and a glitter ink printing process of discharging the glitter ink onto the foundation layer.

摘要： A method for producing water-repellent treated aluminum pigment dispersion includes (a) adding a polysilazane solution in which a polysilazane is dissolved in a second organic solvent to an aluminum pigment dispersion in which an aluminum pigment is dispersed in a first organic solvent for reacting a hydroxyl group present on the surface of the aluminum pigment with the polysilazane to form a covering film on the surface of the aluminum pigment. The amount of the polysilazane in the reaction system for forming the covering film is 0.4 parts by mass or less based on 1 part by mass of the aluminum pigment, and the total addition amount of the polysilazane is from 0.2 to 0.6 parts by mass based on 1 part by mass of the aluminum pigment.
