This invention provides an AC-to-DC power converter that improves the overall conversion efficiency especially that at the minimum input ac voltage for universal input operation design by adopting a new combination of control strategies and topologies for the PFC pre-regulator and DC-to-DC converter. The PFC pre-regulator was arranged to provide a regulated bus voltage of which the amplitude is varied in accordance with input ac voltage by a follower boost controller to achieve best efficiency in minimum input ac voltage operation. A synchronous rectifier dual boost PFC pre-regulator was present for further reduction of the power loss in the converter. Symmetrical half-bridge or symmetrical full bridge switch devices were arranged for the primary side of DC-to-DC converter and synchronous rectification circuit with two synchronous rectifier were arranged for the secondary side of the DC-to-DC converter as combination of the AC-to-DC converter. The two synchronous rectifiers were controlled to turn on and turn off complementary to that to the primary half-bridge switch devices to insure a minimized power loss of that converter stage for the extended bus voltage operation design.

With the configuration according to the present invention, the at least one radiometer in the millimeter-wave receiving device can be located in all of freedoms on basis of various design requirements of the radiation path to ensure that the radiometer can be arranged in desired receiving positions.

Disclosed is a detector device, comprising: an adjustable positioning base and a detector module. The adjustable positioning base includes: a horizontal plate being able to fixedly connect onto an annular rotation table or disk; and a vertical plate extending from the horizontal plate and generally perpendicular to the horizontal plate. A horizontal through long groove is provided at one side of the vertical plate, and the detector module is able to fixedly installed in said horizontal through long groove of the adjustable positioning base. By employing the technical solution defined in the present invention, the detector device has a compact structure, and precision adjustment and positioning for the detector device can be achieved. In addition, the present invention also provides a CT inspection system having the above detector device.

A SYN packet bandwidth Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack is defended against by intercepting and identifying SYN packets in a “DDoS gateway” advantageously positioned at the edge of the network to be protected (e.g., one hop upstream from the protected link), and by queuing these intercepted SYN packets in a separate queue from other TCP packet queues. Edge per-flow queuing is employed to provide isolation among individual TCP connections sharing the link. A fair scheduling algorithm such as round robin scheduling is used to ensure that SYN packets (such as those generated as part of a SYN bandwidth attack) cannot overwhelm the egress link in the presence of other TCP packets.

Lookup techniques are described, which can achieve improvements in energy efficiency, speed, and cost, of IP address lookup, for example, in devices and systems employing ternary content addressable memory (TCAM). The disclosed subject matter describes dividing a route table into several sub-tries with disjoint range boundaries. In addition, the disclosed subject matter describes storing sub-tries of a route table between a TCAM and a faster and less costly memory. The disclosed details enable various refinements and modifications according to system design and tradeoff considerations.

The scanning device includes a radiation source; a stationary shield plate and a rotary shield body positioned respectively between the radiation source and the subject to be scanned, wherein the stationary shield plate is fixed relative to the radiation source, and the rotary shield body is rotatable relative to the stationary shield plate. The ray passing area permitting the rays from the radiation source to pass through the stationary shield plate is provided on the stationary shield plate, and ray incidence area and ray exit area are respectively provided on the rotary shield body. During the process of the rotating and scanning of the rotary shield body, the ray passing area of the stationary shield plate intersects consecutively with the ray incidence area and the ray exit area of the rotary shield body to form scanning collimation holes. Further, a scanning method using radiation beam for backscatter imaging is also provided.
