摘要： An electrical connector (2, 3) provides an interface compatible with an internal micro Serial ATA connector. The electrical connector (2, 3) includes an insulated housing (21, 31), a first number of contacts (221, 222, 223, 321, 322, 323) assembled to the insulated housing (21, 31); and a second number of contacts (224, 225, 324, 325) assembled to the insulated housing (21, 31). The first number of contacts (221, 222, 223, 321, 322, 323) constitute a power segment and a signal segment compatible with the internal micro Serial ATA connector. The second number of contacts (224, 225, 324, 325) is used for mating with a new type of mating connector (3, 2) when higher transfer speed is needed.

摘要： An electrical connector includes a metal shell, an insulative housing and at least one terminal retained in the insulative housing. The metal shell defines a front-to-rear direction and a lateral direction perpendicular to the front-to-rear direction and includes a pair of elastic arms extending rearward from a rear edge thereof and a pair of latch portions extending along the lateral direction from free tips of the elastic arms. The insulative housing comprises a base portion and a mating portion extending forwardly from the base portion. The base portion defines a pair of protrusions extending along the lateral direction. The terminal includes a contact portion disposed on the mating portion. The metallic shell is assembled to the insulative housing in the front-to-rear direction. The latch portions of the metal shell lock with the protrusions of the housing so as to secure the shell to the insulative housing.

摘要： An electrical connector assembly includes an elongated connector body (31) formed from an insulative material, and a guiding member unitary with the connector body. The connector body includes a front face (311) adapted to face conductive elements (20) of a mating electronic component (2). A plurality of contact terminals (32) is adapted to be disposed within the connector body, and extend from the front face for mating with the conductive elements. The guiding member includes a pair of axial guiding legs (340) transverse to the front face, the guiding legs spaced apart a distance for facilitating insertion of the electronic component along the guiding legs to mate the conductive elements to the terminals of the connector body. As compared with the prior art, the unity of the supporting frame and the connector body makes the manufacturing of the electrical connector assembly simplified, with reduced manufacturing time.
