摘要: A heat storage tank includes a tank body having a cylindrical opening portion at one end side, and a coolant passage portion for defining therein flow passages communicating with the tank body. The tank body stores a coolant of a liquid-cooled engine therein while being thermal insulated, and the coolant flows into and flows out of the tank body through the flow passages. The coolant passage portion includes an insertion portion that is inserted into the opening portion in its axial direction. At least two O-rings are provided between the opening portion of the tank body and the insertion portion to seal a clearance therebetween, and are lined in the axial direction to be separated from each other in the axial direction by a predetermined distance. Accordingly, the heat storage tank can improve sealing performance of the coolant.

摘要: A mounting structure for a heat accumulation tank is provided with an elastic member that wraps around a tank main body, and a heat accumulation tank mounting member which wraps around the outer peripheral surface of the elastic member and holds the tank main body by being tightened in the circumferential direction, and which attaches to a receiving member. The elastic member is a molded part. The length of the elastic member is shorter than length of the circumference of the outer peripheral surface of the tank main body. The heat accumulation tank mounting member includes a shift inhibiting portion which inhibits an upward shift of the tank main body. The outside diameter of the tank main body becomes increasingly wider in the upward direction.

摘要: A double-layer vacuum container includes: an inner container having a bridging member supported by an outer container in a bridging manner; the outer container through which the bridging member extending from the inner container is externally exposed; and a cover member for externally covering the portion of the outer container through which the bridging member is exposed and for sealing a space inside the cover member and a space between the inner container and the outer container in a vacuum state between the cover member and the outer container. With such a structure of the double-layer vacuum container, the inner container other than a lip is supported by the outer container with a good heat retaining property to prevent the displacement or damage of the inner container.

摘要: The invention provides an engine cooling device capable of suitably promoting the warm-up of an engine. This engine cooling device comprises a cooling circuit and a heat-accumulating passage. The cooling circuit is composed of a radiator passage, a bypass passage, and a flow rate control value for controlling the flow rate of coolant flowing though the bypass passage. The heat-accumulating passage is provided with a heat-accumulating container, and constitutes a heat-accumulating circuit for causing coolant in the heat-accumulating container to circulate via the engine. The cooling device completes the heat-accumulating circuit by connecting the heat-accumulating passage to the cooling circuit to supply the cooling medium in the heat-accumulating container to the body of the engine, opens the flow rate control valve to increase a flow rate of cooling medium flowing though the bypass passage, then disconnects the heat-accumulating passage from the cooling circuit, and closes the flow rate control valve.

When switching from one control mode to another, the flow control valve is controlled in accordance with a transitional control procedure selected from different types of transitional control procedures. The transitional control procedure to be performed is selected depending on which control modes are performed before and after the control mode switching and/or the current condition of the engine. 摘要: An engine cooling apparatus has a heat storage tank for storing and maintaining the temperature of cooling liquid let out of an engine into an engine cooling circuit. The heat storage tank is mounted in a vehicle so that a housing retained to a lower portion of a tank body forms a lowermost end portion of the engine cooling circuit in a vertical direction. An inlet passage of the housing is provided with a drain port. A portion (drooped portion) of a cooling liquid channel upstream of the drain port is lower than the position of the drain port in the vertical direction.

摘要: An engine cooling system includes a flow control valve and an electronic control unit (ECU) for controlling the flow control valve. The flow control valve regulates the flow rate of coolant flowing through a radiator in a coolant circuit. The ECU feedback controls the opening size of the flow control valve such that the temperature of coolant at an engine outlet seeks a predetermined target value. During the feedback control, the ECU controls the flow control valve such that the opening size of the flow control valve remains above a predetermined lowest value. As a result, the flow control valve is prevented from falling in a small opening size range in which in which it is difficult to cause the engine outlet coolant temperature to seek the target value, and the engine outlet coolant temperature is favorably adjusted.
